Inside a fairly clean brick house, Yao Shunyu was massaging Li Bai's knee.
After their escape the previous night, Li Bai had suffered injuries all over her body. Her left arm was the worst; she could barely even lift it.
"Hah... I'm much better now." Though she said so, Li Bai's brows never relaxed. She was still worried about how Jiang Cheng and Wang Fugui were doing. After all, the tasks those two faced were even more difficult, with no hints at all.
Looking at Li Bai's face, Yao Shunyu knew what she was worried about. He got up and sat beside her, then sighed. "Don't overthink it. Tang Qisheng and Zhu Jie aren't unreasonable people. If they said they found no clues, then they really found none. There's no way they'd deliberately hide them."
Li Bai slowly nodded, her brows drawing tighter. "I understand all that. I just can't figure out why the other two groups could find clues, but they couldn't."
"And the clues they're supposed to find are about the world Jiang Cheng and Wang Fugui are in!" Li Bai added after a pause.
The three groups were in three entirely different worlds. So far, the only connection seemed to be the clues each could find: Jiang Cheng and Wang Fugui could find clues about their world, while Li Bai's group could find clues about Tang Qisheng and Zhu Jie's world. Only Tang Qisheng and Zhu Jie had come up empty. It made no sense.
