Zhu Jie's eyes slowly fluttered open. The first thing she saw was Tang Qisheng's face. Her head was heavy and foggy, and even curled up beneath the covers, she still felt cold.
"What happened to me?" Zhu Jie felt as though she had no strength in her body. Her vision was blurry, as if she had fallen ill overnight.
Tang Qisheng tested her forehead with his hand and frowned slightly, but he still reassured her in a calming voice. "It's all right. You just caught a chill last night." As he spoke, he bent down and tucked the loose corner of the blanket back in.
Only then did Zhu Jie notice that they had moved again. This was a spacious hospital room, simply but warmly furnished. But as her gaze swept across the room, her pupils contracted. The next second, she sat bolt upright. The hospital room door was open.
Tang Qisheng was startled by her sudden movement. Once he realized what was wrong, he immediately patted her back and explained, "Don't worry. It's already daylight outside."
"Even if it's daylight, you can't just leave the door open!" Zhu Jie instantly snapped to attention. She looked at Tang Qisheng in confusion. He wasn't careless, so how could he make such a mistake? Unless... unless he was an impostor, and she was still trapped in the night?
Noticing the strange look Zhu Jie was giving him, Tang Qisheng understood exactly what she was thinking. "Don't panic. I didn't open the door. A medical worker pushed it open. The doors to the other rooms were opened too. They said we should go to the Admissions Office to complete our discharge paperwork. Oh, and there was an announcement over the PA just now. It should be real. The others have already gone."
