A harsh scraping sound came from inside the director's office. Tang Qisheng grew wary. It sounded like a desk or chair straining under an unbearable weight.
He gently pulled aside the dense blood vessels packed into the gap in the door, then bent down and peered inside through the opening. The director's office was spacious, and its only lamp hung from the ceiling. But it had long since been enveloped by vines of blood vessels, leaving it able to cast only a faint, miserable glow.
That was enough for Tang Qisheng, though. What truly astonished him was the state of the office. Everything inside was rotten and twisted. Bookshelves were embedded in the walls and stretched all the way to the ceiling. There was also a gigantic desk five meters long, and a three-meter-tall potted plant with clawing branches...
