The eerie atmosphere that had permeated the Sculpture Hall vanished the moment the head separated from the body. The bust transformed into a Wu head statue, completely dead.
Jiang Cheng casually tossed the head to the ground. He felt utterly drained, his body swaying before he collapsed.
When he woke up, he was back in his dorm bed. Opening his eyes, he saw Huai Yi's face.
Huai Yi sat by the bed, looking as though he had suffered greatly.
Jiang Cheng's gaze swept across the room. Fatty and Wang Qi were nowhere to be seen.
"Brother Jiang," Huai Yi exclaimed, jumping up as he noticed Jiang Cheng's eyes open. "You're finally awake. I was worried."
"Where are they?" Jiang Cheng interrupted, asking.
Huai Yi's expression turned peculiar at the question. He leaned closer to Jiang Cheng and whispered, "Brother Jiang, Brother Fugui was called out by Wang Qi. He said he had something to tell him. I wanted to follow and listen, but Wang Qi wouldn't let me."
"It's not that I'm afraid of him!" Huai Yi quickly explained. "It's just that you weren't awake, and I was worried no one would be watching over you."
"How long have they been gone?" Jiang Cheng asked, propping himself up with his arm.
"A while," Huai Yi recalled, nodding. "Definitely over half an hour."
"Wait for me here."
Just as Jiang Cheng reached the door, it was suddenly pushed open from the outside. Wang Qi walked in, without Fatty.
Jiang Cheng stared at him. "Where is he?"
"Next door," Wang Qi replied slowly, his gaze at Jiang Cheng filled with an oddity. "He's fine, don't worry. It's just... he needs some quiet."
Jiang Cheng looked at Wang Qi's face for a moment, then turned to Huai Yi. "Go to the next room
