Based on the clues in the previous paintings, the scenes depicted showed the moments when the players died. If they could look at the other paintings, they might be able to find the other players' locations of death and how they died.
That way, even if they were drawn into that eerie rainy night, avoiding the places where they were destined to die would greatly increase their chances of survival.
But ideals and reality rarely aligned. When they saw the next painting, Jiang Cheng and the others couldn't help frowning.
The painting was there, but the information on it was blurred beyond recognition.
They could just make out a person, and the dense strokes of crimson all around them also revealed that the person was dead.
Unfortunately, they couldn't tell who the next victim was. They couldn't even make out whether the person was male or female.
"I can't see it clearly." Xia Qiang lowered his voice. His calm tone wavered, concealing a deep sense of frustration. "I can't make out the background, either."
Only then did they notice that one oil painting after another hung along the wall. Starting with the one in front of them, however, all of them were blurry.
They checked them one by one. Including the painting of the Rain Night Murderer, there were eleven in total.
That meant the remaining ten paintings showed the players' gruesome deaths.
Huai Yi couldn't help swallowing, growing increasingly agitated. After noticing the problem, Jiang Cheng tried to reassure him. "Don't get too nervous. The fact that our paintings are here doesn't mean we're definitely going to die. Besides, we still don't know what's really going on."
"This could all be an illusion, too," Xia Qiang added. "The point might be to push us into the depths of fear."
