Were they leaving already?

Jiang Cheng felt little of the joy that came with surviving a disaster. He was just trying to figure out why.

From how close the killer had been, it was pure self-deception to think it hadn't spotted him and Lin Muwan. The only reason it hadn't rushed over to kill them was that they hadn't triggered its killing condition. That was all.

"Could it be that the killer stops attacking as soon as it's seen?" Jiang Cheng frowned slightly. Once the thought came to him, he couldn't shake it.

As he thought, he felt a hand tighten around his arm. He turned his head and met Lin Muwan's eyes.
