Huai Yi immediately understood and broke into a sleazy grin like an old pro. The moment Jiang Cheng had started saying he was an actor, the Fatty had already guessed what he was up to.
"You're messing with me!" Wan Ming snapped.
Before Jiang Cheng could say anything else, Jiang Zhao smiled kindly as ever. His smile seemed frozen in place, like a mask, as he looked at Jiang Cheng. "Wan Ming, Mister Jiang was only joking. Don't take it to heart."
Wan Ming didn't dare talk back to Jiang Zhao, so she mouthed the words to Jiang Cheng, one syllable at a time: "Just you wait. I'll teach you a lesson."
"On film?" Huai Yi asked with a grin, seizing the opportunity.
Wan Ming's eyes widened. She was just about to put him in his place when a scream rang out. Bai Xiaojie dropped her fork, and she and her chair toppled backward onto the floor, leaving her in a disheveled heap.
"What happened?" Miao Qing went over to check on Bai Xiaojie.
"There's something in the food! There's something in the food!" Bai Xiaojie shrieked.
Everyone's expression changed. Everyone present except Liu Hui had eaten. If there was really poison in the food, their entire team would be wiped out.
Jiang Cheng hurried to Bai Xiaojie's plate and slowly pushed the food aside with his fork. What they saw next sent a chill down everyone's spine.

It was half of a human jawbone, with several crooked teeth still attached.
