This was my first attempt at a completely new genre. To have achieved these results, made it to 1.5 million words, and likely finish at over 1.65 million, I think that's more than enough.
It's not a matter of being tired. This style of writing is something I'm quite unfamiliar with.
As a forty-something old hand, I was still able to step outside my comfort zone and take on a new style without crashing and burning. I think that's already a huge success.
