Xiao Yan was regarded as the Xiao Clan's most talented child. He began cultivating at age three and reached the Second Stage of Dou Disciple by age four. At eight, he became a Dou Practitioner a year earlier than Xiao Li had, drawing admiration from Nalan Yanran, Xiao Xun'er, and Xiao Mei. 172 175 191

His Dou Qi Vortex disappeared overnight shortly after his breakthrough, reducing him to the Third Stage of Dou Qi. The loss left him devastated and caused some clan disciples to turn against him, but he continued cultivating rather than accepting his decline. 191 192 214
