His first meeting with Lan Aotian occurs in Rift Canyon during the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. The two experience an immediate, hostile bloodline resonance: Tang San feels severe throbbing in his chest, while Lan Aotian recognizes him as the Old Emperor's surviving son and a potential imperial rival 42 43.

During the canyon ambush, Tang San fights with Blue Silver Grass, hidden weapons, and movement techniques, but an eighty-fifth-rank Soul Douluo overwhelms him until Chen Xin intervenes. The incident confirms that Martial Soul Hall is targeting him following the exposure of his Clear Sky Hammer 43 44.

At the Night Banquet, Bibi Dong publicly hints that Tang San's Blue Silver Grass possesses a bloodline inheritance.
