A thunderclap seemed to ring out in the sky. Black and gold vanished in an instant at the point of collision, revealing Tang Wuyang and Sima Jinchi in his heavy armor.
The two were within arm's reach, Tang Wuyang's spear tip pressed against Sima Jinchi's blade. Terrifying energy fluctuations erupted from the point of impact and exploded outward.
Tang Wuyang flew backward, and Sima Jinchi was likewise hurled back, instantly opening up the distance between them.
Both Tang Wuyang's Golden Dragon Spear and Sima Jinchi's Dragon-Slaying Saber let out low hums. The Dragon-Slaying Saber had originally released mournful cries, but after colliding with the Golden Dragon Spear, those cries had somehow turned into something like cheers.
