Background / History

The Golden Dragon King originated when the Dragon God was split in two. It inherited the Dragon God's overwhelming physical strength as well as its innate offensive and defensive power, while the other half became the Silver Dragon King. Unlike the Nine Dragon Kings, it was not merely a descendant of the Dragon God, but part of the Dragon God itself. 335 537

After being sealed for many years in the God Realm, the Golden Dragon King attempted to destroy its prison. Tang San, the God of Kindness, and the God of Evil used the Three Realms Judgment Sword against it. As its life neared its end, the Golden Dragon King compressed its bloodline and power into a golden crystal and sent it away; a trace of Creation Power was concealed within the crystal. 1

Its essence later became sealed within Tang Wuyang's body in eighteen layers. When Tang first encountered its divine sense, the Golden Dragon King explained that steadily absorbing each seal was necessary for Tang's survival. It offered to absorb most of the Vicious Qi within the seals and renew them, in exchange for Tang's promise to help Soul Beasts establish a homeland free from human persecution and to protect the Silver Dragon King. 45

Although it initially claimed that its divine sense would dissipate, a remnant survived. It later revealed to Gu Yue that it had suppressed part of its original consciousness within Tang Wuyang and implanted a subconscious inclination to aid Soul Beasts. It also expected its bloodline gradually to consume Tang's human bloodline, ultimately turning him into the next Golden Dragon King. 83

The divine sense reappeared after recognizing the Creation Power within Tang Wuyang and continued to advise him on the dangers of the later seals, the Plane Seed from Dragon Valley, and the need to prepare for the world's Order Force. During the Dragon Valley crisis, it briefly possessed Tang Wuyang and used the dragon souls' power to sever Dragon Valley's connection to the outside world. 239 374 537

Appearance

In its original form, the Golden Dragon King was a colossal dragon covered in rhombic golden scales. Its residual divine consciousness usually manifests as a burly man with flowing golden hair and crimson eyes. 1 335 537

Its surviving divine sense is markedly more lucid and protective. It sacrifices much of its remaining consciousness to reduce the seals' Vicious Qi, warns Tang against reckless breakthroughs, and offers practical guidance intended to keep him alive. However, it is also willing to manipulate Tang's subconscious toward the Soul Beast cause, showing that its concern for him remains inseparable from its larger agenda. 45 83 336 537
