Background

Early Life and Adoption

At five and a half years old, Na'er remembers only her name; she cannot identify her home, family, or past. Lang Yue attempts to locate her family, but Na'er has no information to offer. 8 10

She is taken in by Tang Ziran and Lang Yue alongside Tang Wuyang and Tang Wulin. After Wuyang reassures her that their home is now hers, Na'er smiles for the first time; the family subsequently decides to adopt her. 10

Na'er quickly forms her closest childhood bond with Wuyang. She feeds him when his forging injuries prevent him from eating and is comforted by his promise to become strong enough to protect her. 10 When the twins save extra money for their Soul Spirits, Wuyang gives Na'er four hundred Federation Coins for food. 12

Shrek Academy

Na'er later reappears on Sea God Island as the Sea God Pavilion Master's direct disciple and one of Shrek Academy's foremost Inner Court talents. Her sudden strength surprises Wuyang, who remembers that she had not awakened a Martial Soul during their childhood. 253 262
