He had asked Rin about her skill level before letting her take the field, intending for her to test the waters. Rin was absolutely skilled, and while she could not dominate the gaming field like Shinji and Jinako, she was definitely not someone to be underestimated.

Shirou believed that even if he used underhanded tactics, beating Rin would not be easy.
