As long as Rani, Hakuno, and Rin could escape, Shirou was confident he could get away too.
Wasn't it just running away? Shirou was quite good at that sort of thing. At worst, he could admit defeat; if that failed, he could sell his body... No, better not. It was fine to joke about it normally, but Lilith seemed to genuinely want him.
"Hakuno, get out of here. Take Rani with you. Shinji was able to infiltrate the network here just now, so it's not impossible. I'll buy you time." Shirou drew his twin blades and took a defensive stance.
But with the pressure Lilith radiated, Shirou truly had no confidence that he could block even a single attack from her.
"What a sharp and accurate judgment, Servant. I'll give you special recognition for that. Nice to meet you, little Master. And you too, keen knight. Allow me to introduce myself properly. I am the joyous Alter Ego, Meltlilith—the incarnation of a new goddess who holds all of the Moon Cell in her hands." Lilith stepped forward, the pointed heels touching the ground with a piercing scrape.
"The incarnation of a goddess?" Shirou frowned.
"Could this be the result of devouring the Servants on the Outer Moon?" Rin asked instinctively.
"I see...! Hey, why aren't you running yet, Rin?" Shirou turned around and looked at Hakuno, who wore an innocent expression.
"There's no direction we can escape through." Rin's face was grim as she shook her head.
All the routes originally set up on the third floor had been altered. BB's move had truly been flawless. There was absolutely no way they could escape.
"Give up. There are no other paths left in your destiny. If you can entertain me, I can let you die with a little less pain."
