"Doc--tor Ro--man--!"
"You thought you could fool everyone like this?"
Shirou revealed a cruel smile. "In a moment, I'll go tell Gudako that you're here!"
Roman's face turned green. "Mr. Shirou, you can't do that!"
Chapter 6: Me, Shirou, Cross-Dressing!
Shirou crossed his arms and looked at Roman, who sat on the ground with a timid expression.
Roman had just desperately begged Shirou not to tell Gudako that he was here.
Shirou found this utterly baffling.
"I think you should give me a proper explanation, Doctor Roman. Didn't you say you needed the Holy Grail to return to Chaldea and travel across worldlines? Why are you hiding now that you've seen Gudako? Don't tell me you're not actually Solomon, but Goetia?"
Shirou voiced his doubts.
But if Roman bore any ill will toward Gudako or himself, there would have been no need to provide him with a way to restore that world to normal.
"Well, Solomon was originally dead, you see. It was just that the human body left behind by the Holy Grail wish merged with a part of Goetia. So you wouldn't exactly be wrong to call me Goetia..." Under Shirou's hostile gaze, Roman's voice grew softer and softer.
He knew that wasn't what Shirou wanted to hear.
Those were all correct yet useless platitudes. What Shirou cared about was whether he posed a threat to Gudako, and whether that strange behavior just now meant something.
Come to think of it, he really was a good father. Though they were from different worldlines, he still cared for his daughter so deeply. Just as Gudako had said, he was a daughter doting father.
"Um, well..." Roman poked his fingers together, dragging things out with a worried expression.
But in the end, he gave up resisting.
