Alaya carefully examined the Nendoroid in her hands, which she had only managed to get Heroic Spirit Emiya to repair after begging him for ages when he returned home from a business trip. The food in the kitchen was already getting cold.

She forced herself to say, "Figurines! Really! They're just figurines."

"Oh?" Shirou glanced around. "Where's the proof? I've already heard roughly which Heroic Spirits Chaldea has. I took a look, and they're all here. I suspect these figurines are the means of creating Emiya Guardians, or perhaps a prerequisite."

"That's not true! If it were, would someone like Artoria have to become a Guardian too?" Alaya seemed to have found a flaw in Shirou's argument and hurriedly counterattacked. "She already has what it takes to become a Heroic Spirit, doesn't she? I'm just collecting figurines! Besides, Kiritsugu isn't a Guardian either, is he?"

Shirou could not help feeling confused. That did seem to make some sense. Artoria and Kiritsugu did not seem to be Guardians, and Kiritsugu was not qualified to become a Heroic Spirit either...

Could Alaya really just be collecting Emiya family figurines?

Why did he find that so hard to believe?

"Alaya, Alaya? Why haven't you eaten yet? It's gone cold." The white-haired knight in red carried the meal over to Shirou.

Shirou froze.

"Why are you here?"

"I should be asking you that, Shirou Emiya." Red A scratched his head. "Alaya, haven't you repaired the figurine yet? Honestly, if you can't fix it, then don't. Gudako restored humanity, and you still made her a Guardian. Are you even human?"

Shirou turned his head toward Alaya.

He felt that he needed to act now and teach Alaya a lesson, make her stop creating Heroic Spirits from the Emiya family.

"Stop, stop, stop!"

Alaya struck first.
