The homunculus girl believed that more firmly than ever.

Mordred felt like she had seen a ghost. How could a Berserker move so unpredictably? She had never heard of Spartacus possessing such abilities.

"Just a Berserker..." Mordred growled defiantly.

Spartacus swung his greatsword again, bearing down on Mordred.

"Saber, disengage. I think I just received some intelligence from the Mage's Association. It concerns the Red Faction. Let's withdraw first!"

Given a reason to leave the battle, Mordred gritted her teeth.

Retreating now?

Her Master had barely found her an excuse to pull back without hurting her pride. Her Master must have had it hard, dealing with her.

"Understood, Master!"

Seeing Mordred use her speed to break away, the homunculus girl helplessly had Spartacus stop.

"Ah—can I no longer give that oppressor more love?" Spartacus laughed. "Then let us strike a blow against an even more tyrannical king!"

The homunculus girl closed her eyes, trembling as she grabbed the Berserker by the head.

By the time Jeanne d'Arc arrived at the homunculus control room, most of it had already been destroyed.
