"We're leaving. Goodbye."
Kirei said, "You could at least settle the bill."
"No money."
"Then go die with a smile!"
After clearing away the dishes, Kirei entered the hidden room in the shop.
He bowed slightly.
"There's no need to show me such respect."
"No, any clergyman who knows your name would bow before you. Not to mention that you have important business at hand." Kirei Kotomine bent even lower. "Shirou Emiya is still alive. He didn't die, and he has several powerful familiars with him."
"Those are Servants, not opponents you can handle. Leave them to me."
Chapter 14: Launching a Nuke to Settle Our Nerves
After leaving the Mapo Tofu shop, Shirou had reached a tentative decision.
Shirou didn't know whether Einzbern had some scheme in motion, but Kirei Kotomine's words were probably not deceitful. Even if they were, there was little point in it. There wasn't much information to begin with, so the possibility of fabrication was low. More importantly, even if it was fabricated, Shirou didn't believe Einzbern still had any chance of turning things around against him.
Unless—
"Angelica, do you remember what you told me after the Sesshoin matter was resolved?" Shirou suddenly asked.
"Of course I remember. It was about the Berserker card." Angelica nodded.
In the Holy Grail War held back then, there had actually been two Berserker cards participating. However, because Beatrice's Berserker already had Heracles, she could not formally enter the battle.
Yet Shirou had always been suspicious of Thor's identity. He simply had been unable to overturn that conclusion despite all the corroborating evidence.
Under normal circumstances, it was impossible to summon a god as a Heroic Spirit.
For demigods like Heracles, at most one could summon the human aspect that possessed divinity, rather than their godly aspect.
