Aoba helped Kirigakure resist Kumogakure, freed Nagato from the Black Rods, and confronted Obito over the Rinnegan and Giant Tenseigan. After escaping Obito’s dimension and helping shape political changes in Konoha and Sunagakure, Aoba woke to find Dan waiting with grave news.

• Tsunade became the Fifth Hokage, and Aoba gave her a fusion guide while warning that a Tenseigan had caused the meteor attack.
• Aoba arranged for Akatsuki to intervene in the Kumogakure–Kirigakure war, where Kisame and Pakura fought alongside Kirigakure and Pain attacked Kumogakure’s harbor.
• Aoba and Orochimaru removed Nagato’s Black Rods, and Jugo rebuilt Nagato’s shattered heart with Sage Mode.
• Obito captured Danzo, then confronted Nagato and tried to reclaim the Rinnegan, and Aoba sealed Nagato away and fought Obito using Sage Mode and the Flame Demon.
• Aoba entered the Kamui Dimension, stole one of Obito’s eyes, and tried to use the Giant Tenseigan, but Obito destroyed it and left Aoba trapped.
• Kirigakure defeated Kumogakure’s forces, while Pakura agreed to return to Sunagakure and pursue the Kazekage position with Chiyo’s support.
• Aoba escaped the Kamui Dimension, and Tsunade gave the Hyuga Clan six months to reform the Caged Bird seal while appointing Hiashi chief of the Military Police Force.
• Obito infiltrated the Uchiha Compound, where Kazuya survived his attack with Izanagi and Fugaku isolated Obito’s Kamui dimension, and Aoba woke to find Dan waiting at his laboratory.

Aoba confronted Black Zetsu’s expanding attacks as Toneri hunted the Tailed Beasts, while he worked to strengthen his allies and prepare the villages for a larger threat. The arc ended with Yagura’s sacrifice saving the Three-Tails from Black Zetsu and Mei Terumi taking responsibility for Kirigakure.

• Obito attacked the Uchiha, but Aoba exposed Black Zetsu’s manipulation and summoned Rin, whose words helped bring Obito down before Black Zetsu escaped with his eyes.
• White Zetsu spores infiltrated Konoha and the Hyuga Compound, where Aoba, Tsunade, and their allies contained the outbreak while Black Zetsu prepared Toneri for his hunt for the Tailed Beasts.
• Toneri attacked Sunagakure and extracted the One-Tail from Gaara, but Chiyo revived Gaara and Pakura accepted the role of Fifth Kazekage.
• Aoba and Orochimaru restored Minato through Impure World Reincarnation, and Aoba repaired Minato’s body before bringing him back to Konoha to reunite with Kushina.
• Aoba helped Nagato redirect Deidara toward Iwagakure and the position of Tsuchikage, while Ōnoki called for a Five Kage Summit after learning that the Tailed Beasts were being taken.
• Toneri attacked Kirigakure, stole Ao’s Byakugan, and summoned the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path to capture the Six-Tails.
• Aoba arrived to restrain the statue, but it absorbed the Six-Tails, and Yagura sacrificed himself to keep Black Zetsu from taking the Three-Tails before naming Mei Terumi as the next Mizukage.
• Aoba used Kamui to force Black Zetsu to dismiss the statue and flee with Toneri, then left Kirigakure’s affairs to Mei.
