Background / History
Gu Rong serves alongside Sword Douluo Chen Xin as one of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s two sect-protecting Douluo. When Chen Xin placed 23rd on the Human Race Combat Strength Ranking, Gu Rong grew anxious that he had missed the list altogether; despite their long-running rivalry, he acknowledged that Chen Xin was stronger 10.
He accompanied Sect Master Ning Fengzhi and Chen Xin to Sunset Forest to investigate possible traces of the Ming Realm. There, the three encountered its representatives and were forced to recognize the gap between their strength and that of Hurricane Douluo Xiao Feng 22 34 35. Gu Rong later supported Ning Fengzhi’s decision to seek a future for the sect with the Ming Realm 45 46.
Gu Rong’s Bone Dragon subsequently appeared on the Martial Soul Ranking, earning him his first Heavenly Screen reward. The ranking text calls it seventh, while later passages call his placement ninth; both accounts agree that the reward brought him to Level 96 63 64.
