Ning Fengzhi initially watches the Heavenly Ranking alongside the sect’s two Titled Douluo protectors, Chen Xin and Gu Rong. He recognizes early that the ranking will reshape the continent’s power structure and worries that Martial Soul Hall may gain an overwhelming advantage 3.

When the previously unknown Ming Realm begins appearing on the rankings, Ning treats it as a potential threat rather than dismissing it. He notes that its “Beast Army” and elite assault force indicate ambitions beyond those of a hidden sect, then orders the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to investigate it throughout the continent 4. As more Ming Realm experts are revealed, he repeatedly urges Chen Xin and Gu Rong not to underestimate them 7 12.

Seeking the Ming Realm

After Shadow Douluo Qin Fei’s appearance proves that the Ming Realm possesses more unfamiliar Titled Douluo, Ning concludes that the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect cannot withstand Martial Soul Hall alone. He immediately travels with Chen Xin and Gu Rong to Sunset Forest, hoping to find the Ming Realm before its political rivals do 22.

At Sunset Forest, he witnesses the Armor Beast Wind Eagle lifting the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Eye into the sky. The beast’s pressure alarms even Chen Xin and Gu Rong, while Ning initially mistakes it for a hundred-thousand-year soul beast 31. Though Xiao Feng’s group treats his pursuit with hostility, Ning continues following them and risks approaching the Wind Eagle to request an audience with the Lord of the Ming Realm 35 36.

Jun Hao rejects his request on the grounds that Ning lacks the qualifications to meet the Lord, but accepts Ning’s letter. Ning is relieved simply to have made contact with the Ming Realm 36.

Commitment to the Bright Realm

The revelation of multiple Level 99 Extreme Douluo convinces Ning that the old order cannot protect his sect. He resolves to relocate the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to the Ming Realm, describing the decision as one that will determine the sect’s future destiny 45.

The Lord of the Ming Realm eventually responds to Ning’s letter with a single word: “Wait.” Although puzzled, Ning remains eager to join after learning more about the Armor Beasts and the immense strength they add to the Ming Realm 88. Break with Qian Renxue

Ning had served as Xue Qinghe’s teacher and initially supported the crown prince after Emperor Xue Ye’s death, promising the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s help in pursuing the supposed murderer 59. The Heavenly Screen later exposes Xue Qinghe as Qian Renxue of Martial Soul Hall.
