"They all say our newcomer to Northfall Star Creek arrived damaged, already in its twilight years. Yet I sense a vigorous vitality, like a newborn morning sun."
Zhong Yong forced a smile. "We juniors were simply fortunate. Basking in this starry sky's light, we obtained a little good fortune and managed to repair our homeland."
Xu Kun waved a hand. "An opportunity that brings a decaying world back from the dead is no small thing. Back then, I failed to save my homeland. Every time I think of it, I still feel regret."
As he spoke, two World Fruits appeared in his hand, and he offered them over.
"When guests arrived from afar, I had long wanted to pay a visit, but personal matters delayed me. Though this gift comes a little late, I hope you won't turn your nose up at it, young friend Zhong."
Zhong Yong froze slightly.
How many years had it been? He had always carried himself as a senior, yet today, for the first time, someone had called him "young friend"...
He stood dazed for a moment before cupping his fists apprehensively. "Thank you for your kindness, Senior. I cannot accept a reward without earning it. Please forgive me for declining."
