Chapter Summaries

Xi Yan, Ivankov, and Inazuma used Xi Yan’s Earth Release Technique to reach Impel Down’s Sixth Floor, where they learned that Fire Fist Ace had already been taken away. As Ivankov attacked the noisy prisoners, the three were left without a clear way to catch up with Ace.

• Ivankov explained that Molly had used the Push-Push Fruit to create the New Okama Kingdom, giving Xi Yan the idea to travel through the earth directly to the Sixth Floor.
• Xi Yan carried the group underground, and Inazuma lit the way with a fire starter as they approached the Sixth Floor.
• Xi Yan and his companions dropped into the Sixth Floor, subdued a guard, and learned through Xi Yan’s Mangekyō Sharingan illusion that Ace was supposedly in a distant cell.
• Ivankov attacked the prisoners who clamored for help while Xi Yan went to Ace’s cell and found Jinbe instead.

Magellan learned Blackbeard’s crew had vanished and was causing a riot on the Sixth Floor, so he rushed to intercept them as Domino headed to disable the control room.

• Xi Yan told Ivankov and the others that he had reopened the Gate of Justice after Magellan closed it, allowing their escape.
• Jailers and a medical soldier tried to treat Magellan’s bleeding arm, but each attempt failed when the wound reverted to its original state.

After escaping the Underwater Great Prison, Xi Yan, Luffy, Jinbe, and the others sailed toward Navy Headquarters, where Xi Yan intended to fight the Marine Admirals. A call from Navy Headquarters revealed that the Navy had identified Buggy as one of the breakout’s masterminds and uncovered his past as a crewmate of Gol D. Roger.

• Buggy celebrated the escape with a banquet while Crocodile wondered why the prisoners treated him as their captain.
