The two spells merged in Yveta's eyes. The blade of the Sword in Fire at his side glowed like a branding iron fresh from the flames, radiating waves of heat.
The Broken Steel Sword gave off a faint glow.
The Demon Hunter Black Wolf sighed. "Your Highness, the Sword in Fire was made for you."
"Your Fire Dragon bloodline and Fire Magic are perfect for this sword."
"An ordinary person couldn't unleash its true power, even if they got their hands on it."
Yveta shook his head. A brand-new spell, complete with a flaming array, appeared in his mind and became part of his memories.
That memory seemed like indestructible matter, stored deep in his mind. He would never be able to forget it, even if he wanted to.
Could this be the Lifelong Magic the Old Witch had mentioned—the kind of magic etched deep into one's mind?
Yveta thoughtfully recited the spell, but it didn't consume much of his magic power.
Unfortunately, he hadn't succeeded in casting it.
It seemed he'd guessed wrong.
Lifelong Magic wasn't that simple.
At the same time, though, the pages in the spellbook containing those two spells burst into flame without any fire touching them.
First, their edges turned black and curled. Then a tongue of flame suddenly leaped out and devoured the pages completely.
Only then did the Old Witch notice something was wrong. "What happened? Books containing spells aren't so easily destroyed."
"These pages are protected by powerful Black Magic. Otherwise, the spells alone would be enough to destroy them!"
"Your Grace, what just happened?"
Yveta shook his head and said casually, "Nothing much. I just combined those two fire spells. The process might have affected the spells written on the pages."
The Hearthstone Great Witch raised an eyebrow.
These spells had
