Meeting with Wu Shi

"You're here."

"You knew I was coming?"

"Of course."

"That's true."

Above the universe, amid countless stars, two towering figures stood at opposite ends, gazing at each other.

He Heng looked at the famed Great Emperor Wushi and sensed the man's extraordinary nature.

Wu Shi studied the stone man before him. Looking into the other man's deep-set eyes, he felt he had encountered a terrifying powerhouse unlike any he had ever met.

The two stared at each other in silence for a long while, until a clueless Big Black Dog barked, breaking the tense standoff.

He Heng spoke first. "Ever since I emerged, I knew you and those other supremes would come looking for me. That's why I've been leading you all here. And I was certain you'd be the first to arrive."

"Oh? Why do you think I and those other supremes came?" Wu Shi asked.

He Heng smiled faintly. "Those supremes naturally came seeking longevity. As for you..."

Wu Shi interrupted him. "You think I didn't come seeking longevity? You know that emperors and sovereigns throughout the ages have sighed over longevity, trapped before the Immortal Gate. Why shouldn't I seek it?"

"Because you're Wu Shi. Why would you seek it from someone else?" He Heng replied calmly.

Wu Shi looked at him deeply and sighed. "I didn't expect you to understand me so well. Wu Shi's path is one I need not seek from others. If there truly are immortals in this world who can live forever, then I'm confident others can do it—and so can I! If longevity doesn't exist in this world, why should I seek it?"

"I can tell you that longevity and the Immortal Domain do indeed exist, and that I can indeed live forever," He Heng said mildly.

"That's enough!" Determination shone
