As Wang Cheng examined the contents of the Sacrificial Towers and studied the Universal Language, three whole days passed in the blink of an eye.

Nearly all the Humanity of the Universe gathered here, Wang Cheng included, were at the Stellar level, so three short days meant nothing to them.

Still, it was enough time for everyone to look through all the Sacrificial Towers. Naturally, they had all made their choices!

"Oracle Marquis!" Wang Cheng stopped beneath one of the Sacrificial Towers with an imposing presence. The one who had left this tower behind was a Marquis-level Immortal named Oracle Marquis.

Besides Wang Cheng, seven others stood beneath the tower.

Everyone wanted the inheritance left by a Marquis-level Immortal, but few dared to choose it. The inheritance required them to undergo a trial, and the stronger the Immortal who had left it, the more difficult the trial—and the greater the chance of failure.

In that situation, far more people chose the inheritances of weaker Immortals than those of stronger ones. Only those who were powerful and extremely confident would choose a powerful Immortal's inheritance.

And those who dared choose the inheritance of a Marquis-level Immortal were rarer still.

Wang Cheng dared to choose it because he considered himself quite the genius!

Several hours passed after Wang Cheng chose his Sacrificial Tower.

Suddenly, a gale swept across the enormous altar. Before long, a colossal Bull Head Phantom appeared at its center.

"Little ones, it seems you've all made your choices!" the Bull Head Phantom said slowly. "I'll open the inheritance trials in the Sacrificial Towers now. Good luck!"

Wang Cheng watched the enormous Bull Head Phantom nervously. It was only an apparition, but it still put him under immense pressure. More importantly, Wang Cheng was a fake. If he was found out, he'd be in trouble!

Fortunately, whether the Bull Head Phantom hadn't noticed that there was an extra Stellar-level person, or the Opportunity Grasping System had proven reliable, it paid Wang Cheng no attention at all. Not long after it finished speaking—

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

A series of buzzing sounds rang out from the Sacrificial Towers.

Soon, a portal appeared above every tower. The one near Wang Cheng was no exception.

As soon as the portal appeared, the seven others rushed inside without hesitation.

Could there be an advantage to going in first? Wang Cheng wondered. He didn't hesitate either, and quickly darted through the portal.

Whoosh!

After a flash of dazzling light, Wang Cheng found himself in a Vast Square surrounded on all sides by darkness.

The seven who had entered before him stood in different spots around the square, warily surveying their surroundings.

Suddenly, the entire Vast Square lit up. A tall, long-haired man wearing a purple robe appeared in midair. His face was slightly pale.

His figure was somewhat indistinct, but his gaze was deep and brilliant. Just one glance from him made all eight of them, Wang Cheng included, feel uneasy.

"Oracle Marquis Lord!" A purple-haired human with silver markings on his face suddenly cried out.

"Oh? You know Oracle Marquis?" The apparition looked at the purple-haired human who had spoken, seemingly surprised. Then he said, "However, I'm not Oracle Marquis himself. I'm merely a wisp of his soul, anchored here by the Sacrificial Tower through a special method. Of course, you may call me Oracle Marquis."

"Greetings, Oracle Marquis Lord!"

"Greetings, Oracle Marquis Senior!"

"..."

Everyone present greeted him in turn. Wang Cheng joined them and paid his respects properly. He had already learned most of the Cosmic language, so greetings posed no problem.

"Let's dispense with the small talk. You came here for Oracle Marquis's inheritance, I assume. I have to say, you're bold!" Oracle Marquis smiled. "But since you're here, you may as well face the trial!"

Whoosh!

As Oracle Marquis spoke, four enormous arenas rose up across the Giant Plaza.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

A force enveloped all eight of them, Wang Cheng included. They were transported onto the four arenas, two to each one.

The eight of them looked at the person who had been placed on the same arena. They could all guess what was coming next: they would have to fight!

"You eight will fight one another. Let me see what you're truly capable of," Oracle Marquis said calmly. "Don't be afraid of losing. As long as you perform well, you may still have a chance even if you lose. Of course, if you know you're outmatched, surrender at once and I'll save you. Otherwise, if you die, you'll have no one to blame but yourself!"

We're allowed to kill each other? So the inheritance world of the Ganwu Universe Country isn't all that peaceful! Wang Cheng was slightly startled, but he immediately understood. To the Ganwu Universe Country, a few Stellar-levels were probably nothing. Even if they were a little talented, their deaths wouldn't matter much.

Wang Cheng's opponent was a boy wearing a black shirt and shorts, with a few blue scales on his face.

As Wang Cheng was thinking, the boy smiled and said, "Friend, I'm from the Qixuan Starfield of the Tianyun Universe Country. My name is Meteor Star. What should I call you?"

"I'm Wang Cheng," he replied. Watching the boy's sunny smile, Wang Cheng couldn't help feeling a little fond of him. He's quite polite.

"So you're Brother Wang Cheng. Then I'll have to apologize in advance!" The boy named Meteor Star was still smiling, but Wang Cheng suddenly sensed that something was wrong.

Without the slightest hesitation, Wang Cheng swung a punch behind him.

"Argh!"

A cry of pain rang out. A blurry figure appeared behind Wang Cheng and was sent flying.

This guy! Wang Cheng glanced over. The boy who had just been talking to him had vanished, replaced by an illusion. There was no doubt that the one he had just hit was the boy's real body.

What a despicable trick! Anger surged through Wang Cheng after he'd nearly been taught a lesson the hard way. He didn't hesitate; he unleashed his Lightning Domain and charged forward at full speed.

The boy had yet to recover from Wang Cheng's punch when a flash of Lightning Light streaked past. A moment later, his head exploded.

Bang!

The boy's body fell onto the arena as Wang Cheng's figure reappeared.

Wang Cheng wasn't surprised that he had killed the boy in one blow. They were both First-order Stellar level, but Wang Cheng's Gene level was thirty times that of an ordinary life-form. In other words, his basic strength alone was thirty times the boy's.

At the same level, Wang Cheng wasn't afraid even of a Peerless Genius who had grasped a trace of a law, let alone some Stellar-level nobody from who knew where!

Good thing I'm strong enough, or I'd have been done for! Wang Cheng looked at the boy's corpse and secretly resolved that, from now on, whenever he fought someone, he'd strike first and talk later.

Back on Earth, Wang Cheng had fought monsters all the time, but monsters only knew how to charge straight in or run away. None of them had the complicated thoughts of humans. In his very first battle, he'd run into someone so devious. He couldn't tell whether he was lucky or unlucky.

"Hmm? What's this?" Wang Cheng's gaze suddenly fell on the boy's hands. A pair of sharp claws, faintly crackling with electricity, was fitted over them.

"A Force weapon!"

Wang Cheng immediately recognized what they were. Without hesitation, he stepped forward and quickly removed both claws from the boy's hands, then put them on his own.

Wang Cheng channeled Origin Force into the claws. In an instant, a small portion of the markings on them lit up, and a pair of enormous phantom claws appeared out of thin air.

"The remaining markings..."

Wang Cheng studied the markings that hadn't lit up. They seemed vaguely familiar.

"Looks like you're in luck. You've just picked up a pair of Fifth-order Force Weapons!" A calm voice suddenly sounded beside Wang Cheng.

"Fifth-order Force Weapons?" Wang Cheng was slightly startled, but quickly recovered.

"Oracle Marquis Senior!" Wang Cheng rose quickly and bowed.

"You're indeed First-order Stellar level," Oracle Marquis said, regarding Wang Cheng with a strange expression. After a moment's thought, he asked, "You're human, aren't you?"

"Senior must be joking. Of course I'm human!" Wang Cheng immediately realized what Oracle Marquis was getting at.

"I watched your fight. Your Body Strength is far too great for a normal First-order Stellar-level. It's beyond what a normal human could achieve. Even Oracle Marquis himself couldn't do it," Oracle Marquis said calmly.

"Oh? Even Oracle Marquis Senior couldn't do it?" Wang Cheng put on a suitably surprised expression.

"Of course not." Oracle Marquis nodded, then asked, "Do you know how much stronger you are than an ordinary First-order Stellar-level?"

"My pure physical strength should be thirty times greater," Wang Cheng replied frankly. At this point, he wasn't afraid of being exposed. He was only here in consciousness, and would be going back soon.

It wasn't a big deal to tell him!

"Thirty times!" Oracle Marquis drew in a sharp breath, astonishment showing on his face.

"When I was at the Apprentice level, I accidentally found a Colorful Strange Fruit. After I ate it, I became like this," Wang Cheng explained. Oracle Marquis didn't seem to doubt him.

Even among the Peak Races, a life-form's Gene level wouldn't exceed ten times the norm, let alone thirty. Barring some freak accident, no little Stellar-level could achieve that!

In Oracle Marquis's view, even if Wang Cheng was hiding something, the truth probably wasn't far off.

"A heaven-defying treasure like that, and you ate it!" Oracle Marquis shook his head. He was sure that if the fruit still existed, even the Ganwu Country Lord would take it seriously. The Immortals would probably go mad over it!

What a pity that it had already been eaten!

"Your foundations are incredibly strong, and you've mastered the Lightning Domain. You must be a Peerless Genius. Why did you come here?" Oracle Marquis asked.

"I hadn't had a chance to show what I could do out there yet," Wang Cheng replied "honestly."

"You little fellow must have come from some remote place. If you'd shown your abilities earlier, you wouldn't have needed to come here for a manual. A whole crowd of Immortals would already be scrambling to take you as their disciple!" Oracle Marquis shook his head and continued:

"You have two choices. First, I can send you out now. Second, you can stay and continue facing the trials. Of course, given your talent, you'll face the highest-level trials. If you succeed, you'll receive all the manuals Oracle Marquis left behind!"

"I choose the second!" Wang Cheng replied without hesitation.

"Oh? You've got some courage." Oracle Marquis smiled, then disappeared from before Wang Cheng. When he reappeared, he was back above the Vast Square.

"..."

Seeing that he had passed, Wang Cheng secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He hadn't intended to reveal so much of his strength, but Meteor Star had attacked too quickly, leaving him no choice but to use more power to deal with it.

Fortunately, things had worked out well!

Oracle Marquis hadn't dwelled on the matter. Instead, he had given Wang Cheng the highest-level trial!

This time, he could only say he'd made a killing!
