The Two Visitors

"It's a nice place, but my gear is too poor right now. I can't get in at all!" Luo Feng thought it over for a moment, then quickly made up his mind.

Luo Feng used the Warrior's communicator in his hand to contact Wang Cheng. Then he waited quietly.

About half a minute later, Wang Cheng appeared in front of Luo Feng. Luo Feng wasn't surprised that Wang Cheng had arrived so quickly. After all, Wang Cheng had flown him here earlier, and the whole trip had taken just over a minute.

"Luo Feng, why did you contact me so soon?" Wang Cheng knew what this was about, but still asked.

"Brother Wang, I found a great place, but I don't have any suitable weapons on me right now, and I'm not strong enough to get in." Luo Feng explained, and Wang Cheng nodded.

"That's easy. You hunted quite a few Lord-level monsters before and collected plenty of valuable materials, didn't you?" Wang Cheng smiled. "Sell those materials and use the money to get some better gear. Then you can come back!"

"Uh, Brother Wang, aren't you going to take a look?"

Luo Feng was a little bewildered. He'd actually hoped Wang Cheng would go and check it out himself.

As Luo Feng saw it, with Wang Cheng's strength, he could easily uncover the place's secrets. If Wang Cheng made a big discovery, then Luo Feng, as the one who'd found the place, would get some credit too. That would make it easy for him to pay off part of what he owed Wang Cheng. If he was lucky, he might even clear the whole debt!

Luo Feng hadn't expected Wang Cheng to turn him down without even a second thought!

"I'm not interested!" Wang Cheng shook his head.

In fact, although Wang Cheng had a more advanced detector than Babata's, which ensured Babata couldn't detect him, that didn't mean Babata couldn't find traces he'd left behind.

The reason Wang Cheng wasn't sending Luo Feng to find Babata directly, and had instead guided him here, was to make everything seem natural.

Otherwise, Babata might grow suspicious. If that happened, he might not pass Hu Yanbo's inheritance on to Luo Feng. After all, leaving aside his willpower, Luo Feng's talent was rare among Earthlings, but only average by the standards of the universe. If Babata noticed something was off, it wouldn't be surprising if he decided not to give Luo Feng the inheritance.

After all, he'd already waited fifty thousand years. Waiting another fifty thousand wouldn't be out of the question!

That was clearly not what Wang Cheng wanted to see, so naturally, he preferred to let Luo Feng discover everything on his own.

"All right, then." Luo Feng scratched his head, then added, "Could I trouble you to take me back first, Brother Wang?"

"Where did you leave the monster materials you collected?" Wang Cheng asked.

"In a valley to the east."

Luo Feng gave him the location, and Wang Cheng quickly flew him there. After they collected the monster materials, they left the Australian Continent.

They flew at a hundred kilometers per second once more. A little over a minute later, the two of them were back at Mingyue Community.

"That was fast!"

Luo Feng rubbed his head. It was his second time experiencing that kind of speed, but he was clearly still struggling to get used to it!

"Haha, that's nothing!" Wang Cheng laughed, then waved his hand. In an instant, a huge pile of monster materials appeared in the courtyard in front of Luo Feng's villa.

"Those are all yours. Go get some new gear!" Wang Cheng added.

"Brother Wang, are you sure I don't need to keep your identity secret?" Luo Feng asked again. These monster materials had all been cut from at least low-level Lord-level monsters. If he sold so many at once, there was no way he could keep his strength hidden!

"I'm not a criminal. What would I be hiding?" Wang Cheng smiled. "If anyone asks, just tell them the truth!"

"I understand." Luo Feng nodded.

Wang Cheng and Luo Feng didn't say much more. They soon went back to their respective homes. Wang Cheng went to check on Jiang Mingyue, who was still inside the giant cocoon. It looked like she wouldn't be coming out anytime soon. Meanwhile, after greeting his family, Luo Feng started thinking about selling the monster materials he had.

After considering it for a while, Luo Feng decided to sell the materials to Limit Martial Hall.

For the same materials, Limit Martial Hall paid far less than the HR Alliance. But selling to Limit Martial Hall earned him Contribution Points. Luo Feng would be buying weapons from Limitless Home later, and the more Contribution Points he had, the bigger his discount. No matter how he looked at it, he wouldn't lose out by selling the materials to Limit Martial Hall!

Once he'd made up his mind, Luo Feng contacted the people in charge of purchasing for Limit Martial Hall in Jiangnan Base City and arranged a place to meet.

That same day, Luo Feng brought some of the materials to the buyer and made the sale!

In just one afternoon, Luo Feng sold materials from three monsters equivalent to low-level Lord-level monsters and received over ten billion Huaxia Coins. The buyer was surprised that Luo Feng had brought in so many materials from low-level Lord-level monsters, but didn't ask many questions.

The next day, however, Luo Feng brought in even more monster materials, including materials from Intermediate Lord-level monsters. This time, the buyer couldn't stay calm.

Without much hesitation, the buyer reported the matter to his superiors.

Since the matter might involve a War God, the Limit Martial Hall branch in Jiangnan Base City couldn't handle it alone, so it was sent straight to Limit Martial Hall headquarters.

Although Hong was the Hall Master of Limit Martial Hall, he didn't usually bother with everyday affairs. Besides, Hong wasn't at headquarters at the time.

"According to the records, Luo Feng has been a Warrior for only a little over six months. The best result ever achieved by his Warrior Squad was killing an Advanced General-Level monster. Yet now he's suddenly brought in a pile of low-level Lord-level monster materials, and even materials from Intermediate Lord-level monsters..." At Limit Martial Hall headquarters, Yao Rao, one of Hong's personal guards, was looking through Luo Feng's records. The more she read, the more astonished she became.

In fact, Lord-level monsters were extremely difficult to kill!

Among War Gods, only High-level War Gods and Mid-level War Gods could claim they were certain to kill a low-level Lord. And only a High-level War God could claim to be certain of killing an Intermediate Lord!

Most importantly, Limit Martial Hall's investigation had also revealed that Luo Feng had used the money from selling the monster materials to buy a pile of weapons usually used by War Gods.

"According to the records, Luo Feng is at most a junior War General. But all the signs point to him already having the strength of a High-level War God!" Yao Rao thought it over, and another idea quickly came to her.

"Luo Feng also happens to be in Jiangnan Base City. Could he have something to do with the matter the Hall Master is investigating?" Thinking this, Yao Rao didn't hesitate. She called Hong, who was in Jiangnan Base City, and told him about it.

The next day, Luo Feng had been at home preparing for trouble, but none came. Instead, two unexpected visitors arrived at the home of Wang Cheng, his neighbor.

There were two of them: a cold-looking man and a bald giant!

Wang Cheng was slightly taken aback when he saw them, but then smiled. "Well, this is a surprise. Come on in!"

Once they were inside and seated, the bald man rubbed his head and started to introduce himself. "Mr. Wang, we're—"

"One of you is at Planet level seventh order, and the other is at Planet level sixth order. I know. Hong and Thor, right?" Wang Cheng asked.

Wang Cheng's words left the two of them stunned for a moment, but they soon nodded.

They'd launched an investigation because of Luo Feng and quickly noticed something unusual about Wang Cheng, his neighbor. Until then, though, it had only been a suspicion!

But Wang Cheng's words made it clear at once that they'd come to the right person. An ordinary Warrior wouldn't casually refer to Planet level sixth order and seventh order, after all.

"Let's be frank. I'm the 'alien' you're looking for, and as you already know, my name is Wang Cheng!" Wang Cheng stated plainly.

In truth, Wang Cheng hadn't needed to pretend to be an alien. Hong and Thor had already assumed that was what he was, and he couldn't be bothered to explain. Besides, it would be hard to explain where his strength came from.

If Wang Cheng said he'd been an ordinary Earthling just a short while ago, who wouldn't be curious? If he was an alien, on the other hand, everything made sense.

Either way, whether he was an Earthling or an alien, if trouble ever threatened Earth, Wang Cheng would do what he could to help, whether out of principle or simple good will!

"Mr. Wang, we've taken the liberty of visiting to thank you for stepping in to stop the Rat Disaster in Jiangnan Base City." Hong chose his words carefully. As the leader of Earth's Warriors, he had his pride, but he also knew that this seemingly ordinary man might possess the power to turn the world upside down.

Until he understood the situation, he had to be cautious.

"There's no need to say more!" Wang Cheng interrupted Hong. He went on, "We know what you're worried about, but there's no need. First, I mean Earth no harm. Second, I mean humanity no harm. Finally, all I want is to live here in peace. How could that affect you?"

Neither of them said anything. They simply nodded in silence.

"You two should be the strongest humans. In my eyes, that makes you the leaders of this planet! That's why I'm willing to say so much to you. So, would you two like to stay and have something to eat?" Wang Cheng asked.

"No, thanks!"

Neither of them was in the mood to eat. They'd also picked up on Wang Cheng's hint that it was time for them to leave, so they immediately got up and said their goodbyes!

A short while later, Hong and Thor walked out of Wang Cheng's home. They thought over their meeting as they left Mingyue Community.

Wang Cheng had no idea what the two of them were thinking, but their visit hadn't bothered him much. He didn't care whether his identity was exposed or not. He was still far from powerful by the standards of the universe, but at this point in Earth's history, he had nothing to fear!

Not long after Hong and Thor left, Luo Feng hurried over to Wang Cheng's home.

"Brother Wang, Limit Martial Hall just sent me a message asking about my strength. Then they asked whether I'd be willing to become Inspector of Jiangnan Base City..." After explaining, Luo Feng asked, "Why did things suddenly turn out like this?"

Luo Feng was indeed confused. He'd suddenly revealed his formidable strength, but instead of suspecting him, Limit Martial Hall had invited him to become Inspector of a Base City.

Luo Feng hadn't known what being an Inspector meant, but the email from Limit Martial Hall had just explained it to him.

He'd be the top official for Limit Martial Hall in Jiangnan Base City. Even its president and director would have to answer to him. The position held enormous authority, and for Luo Feng, it would be a meteoric rise!

"The reason your strength suddenly surged must already be clear to Limit Martial Hall. There's no problem with your identity, and now you have the strength of a High-level War God. Becoming Inspector of Jiangnan Base City is only natural," Wang Cheng said calmly.

"They already know?" Luo Feng asked, surprised.

"That's not important." Wang Cheng waved a hand. "Take the position if you want it. If you don't, then don't."

"I'll think about it!"

Luo Feng was a little hesitant, but not because he disliked the position. Deep down, he didn't object to it. Unlike Wang Cheng, Luo Feng still wanted plenty from life on Earth. And then there was Xu Xin, who was still involved with him. She needed him to have a suitable status.

With the strength of a High-level War God, Luo Feng was already more than worthy of Xu Xin. But wouldn't it be even better if he had a high-ranking position to go with that strength?

Of course, that was precisely because the position was so good that it didn't feel real to Luo Feng. That was why he hesitated.

"Even if you become Inspector, Luo Feng, you'll still have to pay me back!" Wang Cheng suddenly reminded him.
