Mother of Direwolves Halaken's fertility was quite close to the reproduction rate of mutated beasts on Earth, with one generation every three months or so.
This was also proof that the Awakening Skill, Wolf Valley, was close to reality.
This batch consisted of four wolf pups, all of them Elite Templates.
Through Heart-to-Heart Communion with Wolf Valley, Bai Xiaowen could "see" the changes in the scenic space of Wolf Valley.
Mother of Direwolves Halaken lazily sprawled in a haystack to one side, while Rageclaw obediently licked her fur nearby.
The first-generation direwolves Rockback and Steel Fang, meanwhile, were strolling around the outskirts of Wolf Valley on patrol. Although Wolf Valley was essentially a summoning space with no possibility of enemies invading, patrolling was still an instinct ingrained in the wolves' very bones.
The levels of the newborn direwolves had not followed Bai Xiaowen's level. They generally ranged between Levels 4 and 6. Their bodies were also a size smaller than Rockback and Steel Fang.
"Could it be that each generation is worse than the last?" Bai Xiaowen asked worriedly.
Rageclaw immediately took offense. "Awooo! Impossible! They'll grow up slowly, awooo!"
"All right, that's good." Bai Xiaowen also breathed a small sigh of relief. He then recalled the description of Wolf Valley, which stated that newborn direwolves had a small chance of being born at Leader Tier. In other words, it was absolutely impossible for each generation to be worse than the last.
Bai Xiaowen glanced at the four little direwolves.
All four wolf pups were in fine shape. Some had strong, muscular builds, while others had sleek, streamlined curves. However, they had not yet grown coarse fur. Their soft layer of down made Bai Xiaowen want to summon one and give it a good rub, just to feel its texture.
