Bai Xiaowen tried to recall the split Bone Archer.
Logically, since the Bone Archer had not "died," recalling it through Death God's Visage should not have been a problem.
But unfortunately, Bai Xiaowen's recall failed. Half of the Bone Archer still quietly "stood" before him.
Bai Xiaowen narrowed his eyes.
Neither dead nor alive—was he really going to lose a summoned creature here for nothing? And permanently, at that.
"Looks like I still need to uncover the secrets of this Rubik's Cube zone."
Bai Xiaowen took a step into the river zone ahead. It was worth mentioning that crossing into the river square encountered no barrier whatsoever, which made the starkly separated scenery on either side of the boundary feel distinctly unnatural.
The moment he entered the river square, the scenery and light before Bai Xiaowen changed. What had originally been "morning hills" became a world of water. Beneath his feet surged a vast river, its endless waves flowing toward an unknown destination. Even the light turned bleak and hazy, and misty white vapor drifted over the distant river surface.
Bai Xiaowen quickly sensed the presence of other people within this river square.
Moreover, they were moving toward him at high speed.
Bai Xiaowen remained still and quietly circulated his powerful Spirit Sense, perceiving the changes in the surrounding squares. In his view, this river square could not exist in isolation. There had to be other river squares nearby—even if there were none now, they would surely appear when the cube squares rotated twenty minutes, forty minutes, or even an hour later.
Soon, three humanoid creatures clad in dark armor flew toward Bai Xiaowen.
These three humanoid creatures all had human heads and turtle bodies, with heavy shells on their backs. They reminded Bai Xiaowen of a classic cartoon from
