Still, the sight of so many powerful undead creatures inside Death God's Castle made Bai Xiaowen's eyes light up.

Through the Death God's Visage mask, he released Death God's Power and tried to bring the undead under his command.

He could accept that the Divine-Scion Tier Gargoyle at the entrance could not be won over. Divine-Blooded Creatures possessed divinity, after all. But these High King Tier undead seemed worth a try.

No one knew what dangers lurked in Death God's Castle, or what trials awaited him before he could claim the last piece of Death God Bones.

Preparing and strengthening his forces could only help.

Just as Bai Xiaowen had expected, Death God's Visage combined with Death God's Power could influence most of the creatures in the castle and bring them under his command!

The conversion took time, though. He had to remain within ten meters of a target for at least ten seconds, and the stronger the undead, the longer it took.

Bai Xiaowen was patient. He converted the powerful undead as he went, and though it cost him considerable time, his forces steadily grew.

Along the way, he encountered plenty of branching passages with puzzles to solve. They reminded him of Amotava's Underground Palace on the Black Tide Plane, though they were harder.

Of course, they still could not stump him.

He pushed through one heavy, rusted iron door after another and crossed corridor after moldy corridor before finally reaching a magnificent hall.

Its vaulted ceiling rose hundreds of meters overhead, carved with strange reliefs: a Skeleton Knight with three skulls and blood-red armor; a deathly pale Banshee Queen with bloody tears streaming from her eyes; and a monster whose features were impossible to make out, like countless writhing earthworms tangled together.

The sight was chilling and sinister.
