Ahan heard an eagle's cry and raised his head. "What's that... a bird?"
As a mage, Catherine possessed Psychic Sensing. She abruptly looked up and studied the streak of white on the horizon. "Commander, that's an eagle. It's fiercer than an ordinary hawk or falcon."
Ahan gazed thoughtfully at the increasingly near white shape in the sky. "I have a feeling it's coming for me."

The White Eagle cooperatively raised one talon, inexplicably bringing to mind a phrase: standing like a golden rooster... It looked oddly adorable.
There was a metal clasp around the talon, with a folded piece of parchment tucked inside. Ahan carefully removed the clasp and took out the parchment.
The White Eagle cried out, flapped its wings, and soared into the sky.
"Who would send a letter this way?" Catherine asked in confusion.
Ahan unfolded the parchment.
