Two White Eagles flew swiftly beneath the blue sky.
Bai Xiaowen and Li Shuyi rode one, while Ahan rode the other.
Neither the Elf Kingdom nor the Kingdom of Camelot had a teleportation array connecting it to the Orc Kingdom. Ordinarily, the only way there was on foot. Fortunately, Bai Xiaowen had two White Eagles they could ride.
Knowing the Orc Kingdom revered strength, Bai Xiaowen had specifically asked Ahan to come along.
Ahan had proved himself loyal and courageous. Even when the mere mention of Orcs made the other nations of the continent uneasy, he had agreed to Bai Xiaowen's request without hesitation.
That alone was remarkable. Being a lord did not make Ahan invincible. If talks broke down in the heart of the Orc Kingdom's capital, its people—all ready to fight—could surround and kill him just the same. He was taking a considerable risk.
It also showed how much Ahan trusted Bai Xiaowen.
"Xiao Wen, are you really sure about this?" Li Shuyi asked quietly over the Team Channel.
Bai Xiaowen smiled. "Of course. As the prophet, I have access to some extra information... And based on that, I'm confident I can persuade the Orcs to join the alliance."
Li Shuyi was about to ask what information he meant when she remembered the Doom Bracelet and the secrets Bai Xiaowen could not reveal as the prophet. She dropped the subject. "The third step of both our Awakening Skill quests involves the Orc Kingdom. We have to finish them on this trip. If we miss this chance, we probably won't get another."
"I know," Bai Xiaowen said. "But persuading the Orcs to join the alliance comes first. Our Awakening Skill quests can wait. Uniting the continent is our second main quest, and failing it would cost us too much.
