Night had swallowed the entire Campus, staining it black as ink.
The daytime clamor had long since faded, leaving only a few scattered lights glowing in the distant Dormitory Building.
The clerk from the Electronics Store—the man who called himself a "devoted fan"—walked along a secluded path on campus, his heart pounding wildly with excessive excitement.
His face was twisted with uncontrollable, almost manic joy.
He clutched a letter tightly in his hand.
The handwriting was elegant. It belonged to the pure idol of his heart, "Shizuku."
The letter named a time and place to meet.
Behind the two old Special Teaching Buildings at the back of the school.
A perfect, wonderful place where no one would disturb them.
This was her answer to him!
The man could barely keep from laughing out loud.
His relentless pursuit over the past few weeks, those love-filled letters, those photos proving he watched her every moment—they had finally worked!
"I knew it... I knew it! Shizuku must have feelings for me too!"
His voice quivered with excitement. "All those rejections and cold shoulders were just a girl's coy way of playing hard to get!"
He arrived at the place named in the letter.
It was a narrow Gap Area between two buildings, piled with rusty sports equipment and discarded desks and chairs. A small grove planted by the school stood nearby, and the spot was one of the Campus's Blind Spots.
The tall buildings blocked the moonlight. Only a faint glow filtered through the gap, leaving everything blurred and indistinct.
At once, he saw a petite figure standing in the middle of the clearing with her back to him.
It was her!
His "Shizuku"!
"Shizuku... I'm here! I finally got to see you!"
His voice trembled with excitement as he hurried toward her.
