Halfway There

Following the signposts, everyone headed toward the Polar Bear Pavilion.

As they went farther, the wind picked up slightly.

After turning a corner, the enormous Polar Bear Pavilion came into view.

Inside was a wide-open snowfield enclosure, complete with rocks, an ice pool, and specially made toys.

A huge polar bear was strolling leisurely across the snowfield, its pure white fur thick and fluffy. It waddled as it walked, its head round and plump.

"It's so big! Look at the way it walks, swaying from side to side!"

Everyone walked over and watched the polar bear through the glass.

It really was adorable.

Its massive body and snowy white fur stood out against the snow. After taking a couple of steps, it would sit down and scratch itself, then get back up and slowly amble over to the ice pool, lower its head, and drink. Every movement was unhurried.

"It's so carefree. Every day, it just eats, sleeps, then eats again. That's way too comfortable."

Everyone watched for quite a while and found it fascinating.

"Alright, let's take a group photo first."

Ichinose Honami smiled and reminded them, "We can take our time watching after that."

Everyone nodded and walked to the designated photo spot.

With the polar bear inside as the backdrop, the eight of them stood in a row and once again asked a tourist to take a group photo for them.

Their third attraction, worth three points, was successfully secured.

After taking the photo, no one was in a hurry to leave, and they stayed to watch the polar bear a while longer.

They did not leave reluctantly until the big bear slowly wandered back into its den and disappeared from sight.

"Where are we going next?"
