With Will's advice, Altair hadn't left Sheffield Manor for nearly a week. He had stayed home the entire time.

During that time, Mr. A had sent an invitation to trade as expected. But considering why "Great Serpent, Ouroboros" had come to Bexland,

Altair had Simon lead the rest of the team to the meeting, saying he had other matters to attend to and couldn't make the trade himself.

Altair was genuinely afraid to face this Angel. After all, Ouroboros was an old Angel who had lived for who knew how many years and was a little unstable mentally.

The point wasn't that he was unstable. It was that he had survived through so many epochs!

If he really decided to do something to Altair, no one could guarantee his safety. Even Will only dared to play "hide-and-seek" with him. What chance did Altair have against him?

When Simon returned from completing the trade and described what had happened, Altair finally dared to believe that "Ouroboros" might really have come to Bexland because of him.

According to Simon, the person who conducted the trade with him this time wasn't Mr. A. It was a tall, slender man with long silver hair, handsome features, and a somewhat indifferent expression, dressed in a simple linen robe.

After completing the trade with him, Simon saw him hand some items to Mr. A before leaving the trading location. Holding those items, Mr. A said that if they wanted to buy more Beyonder Characteristics, they could come back to trade.

With this special person involved in the trade, the Beyonder Characteristics they obtained were of quite high quality. They included:

Three Sequence Seven "Witch" Beyonder Characteristics, costing £3,600.

Two Sequence Six "Demoness of Pleasure" Beyonder Characteristics, costing £12,000.

One Sequence Six "Potions Professor" Beyonder Characteristic, costing £6,800.

Two Sequence Six "Dawn Knight" Beyonder Characteristics, costing £10,000.

One Sequence Six "Hypnotist" Beyonder Characteristic, costing £6,000.

Of course, these Beyonder Characteristics were only a small portion of what he had brought out.

Altair hadn't told Simon what else to look for, and Simon didn't know what they needed, so he hadn't bought any more Beyonder Characteristics.

This left Altair kicking himself. Why hadn't he gone to the trade in person? If he had, he might have been able to buy more useful things.

But there was no point regretting it now. It really wasn't convenient for him to meet "Ouroboros."

Although Will had said that Ouroboros wouldn't discover what made Altair special, he had also warned Altair to "stay indoors as much as possible during this period."

Altair was already an heir to the Coward Path, so instinctively, he was even more reluctant to meet Ouroboros. If Ouroboros noticed anything, he'd be in trouble.

The Beyonder Characteristics he had bought for £38,200 were more than enough to let him safely advance to Sequence Six. There was no need to take risks.

The only unfortunate thing was that he hadn't managed to buy any Sequence Five Beyonder Characteristics.

It seemed that Sequence Five Beyonder Characteristics were scarce no matter where you went.

Their price had also exceeded Altair's expectations by a fair bit.

But it made sense. The Tarot Society offered friendly prices, and he had no such relationship with the Aurora Society. They had no reason to give him a discount.

When Altair looked up, he found Simon still staring at the Beyonder Characteristics on the table. Following his gaze, Altair saw that he was looking at the "Dawn Knight" characteristic.

Altair smiled and rested his hand on the box containing the "Dawn Knight" characteristic. "You're ready to advance to Sequence Six, Dawn Knight?"

At the sight of Altair's hand on the box, Simon looked away. Hearing Altair's question, he hesitated before replying, "Yes, Count Altair. I've fully digested the Weapon Master Potion. Could you hold on to one Dawn Knight characteristic for me? I'll gather the money to buy it as soon as I can."

From Simon's behavior, Altair could tell how badly he needed the characteristic. After becoming a Beyonder, most people's greatest wish was to advance again, much like how cultivators yearned to break through to a higher realm and become immortals.

But unlike cultivation, advancing through the Sequences in the world of mysteries only required people to digest their Potion, find the correct Potion Recipe and ingredients, then prepare and consume the Potion.

Altair considered the matter, then asked Simon, "Do you have the Dawn Knight Potion Recipe?"

"Well..." The question left Simon silent. After seeming to make up his mind, he looked up and said, "I once found an incomplete recipe on the battlefield. It listed some of the main ingredients and auxiliary ingredients. I want to take a chance. With this complete Beyonder Characteristic and most of the auxiliary ingredients, I think I can withstand the mental shock."

After hearing Simon out, Altair thought it over and handed him the box containing the Dawn Knight characteristic. He also said, "Don't advance just yet. I'll find the correct recipe for you during this time. You can advance once I've found it."

Altair's actions moved the old soldier to tears. He swore that he would remain loyal to the Sheffield Family for the rest of his life.

After sending him away, Altair felt the world finally grow quiet. Simon's loud voice at such close range had left his ears ringing.

For Simon and the others, this could be considered an immense act of kindness.

Although he had once been part of Altair's father's Guard Team, the fact remained that he had failed to protect the old Baron on the battlefield some time ago, resulting in his death.

That was a grave transgression. It would have been perfectly reasonable for Altair to cast them aside.

He had already moved Simon deeply by holding no grudge against them. Now he was even going to provide a Potion Recipe and help him advance.

Besides, a Sequence Six Dawn Knight Potion Recipe from the Warrior Pathway would cost at least £2,000 above the usual price in Bexland.

There were many reasons for the markup, but the main one was that the Warrior Pathway was usually controlled by the militaries of various countries, and it was rarely available to the public.

As for Simon and the others buying it through their old connections, that was impossible. They had left the military, so they could no longer use their old channels. In Bexland, they could only pay the marked-up price.

And the most important reason was that they had no money. Since leaving the military, they had relied on their wages as guards for the Sheffield Family.

The Sheffield Family hadn't shortchanged them on their wages. They also provided food and lodging, paid them £10 a week, and gave them benefits on holidays. Even so, each man only earned £650 a year.

The recipe and Beyonder Characteristic together would cost £7,000. At minimum, Simon would have to work diligently for ten years to afford them.

Altair had just given him ten years' wages for free, so of course Simon had to show his loyalty.

Of course, Altair didn't actually need to spend £7,000 on his behalf. A Beyonder Characteristic worth £5,000 would be enough.

As for the recipe, he already had one. After all, the Sheffield Family represented the military, so it was only natural that their treasury contained a copy. He only had to tell Hahn to make a copy and give it to Simon.

The very day he received the recipe, Simon prepared the Potion and advanced. He then went to see Altair again to demonstrate his loyalty.

The matter was settled just like that. Altair hadn't needed to pay any real price, yet he had gained the loyalty of a Sequence Six Beyonder.
