"Classmate, what were you doing in the convenience store just now?"
Yuyuki blocked Kamuro Masumi directly and asked. "Me?"
With Yuyuki's confirmation, Kamuro's disgust was plain. "What is it?"
"What were you doing in the convenience store just now?"
"Ha?" Kamuro exhaled heavily, even more impatient. "That's none of your business."
"No, I'm just a little curious."
"Even if you're curious, I don't have to tell you. Move!"
Kamuro's mental fortitude was clearly excellent, as she barked directly at Yuyuki in front of her.
From the conversation, the gap in strength between Class A and First Year D Class was obvious.
Finding a flaw in her words would take more time.
Yuyuki had no such intention either, and asked with some suspicion:
"I'm Tenyo Yuyuki from First Year D Class. You were shoplifting just now, weren't you? How can you still be so brazen?"
"Don't joke around. What proof do you have? Otherwise, I can report you for slander."
"You stole beer, right? I saw it!"
"Ha?"
Kamuro Masumi sneered. "If just saying something out loud counts as evidence, the police wouldn't have to work so hard."
Thinking it over, Yuyuki decided not to pull out the camera, and instead rolled his eyes. "I really don't have proof, but there's no way the convenience store doesn't have cameras. Want to go check with me?"
Most places in this school had surveillance, so Yuyuki's words carried considerable weight.
"Tch." Accepting reality, Kamuro Masumi turned her head away and clicked her tongue, her disgust undisguised. "What do you want to do? Report it to the school? Do whatever you like."
"Really?" Yuyuki asked doubtfully. "Wouldn't that affect your standing in the class? By the way, I don't even know your name yet!"
"Class A, Kamuro Masumi."
Kamuro said with annoyance, "What does my standing in class have to do with you?"
"It really doesn't." Yuyuki nodded, then countered, "But I think normal people should still try a little harder. Maybe there's still hope for redemption, right, Masumi?"
"Using my name already? How shameless." Kamuro Masumi glared fiercely at Yuyuki. "What do you mean by this? Trying to make a deal? Or threaten me? Do whatever you want. I don't care."
With a handle on her, Kamuro Masumi immediately adopted a defeatist attitude, showing no regard for her class or her own future.
On Sakurajima, drinking was prohibited for those under 20, and theft was a serious crime.
Even as a student, if the theft were exposed, Kamuro Masumi's life at school would be effectively over.
But Yuyuki knew.
Kamuro truly didn't care about any of this.
The theft was just for a thrill. This beautiful girl had a tendency to seek excitement.
Using the theft as leverage to turn Kamuro into a spy in Class A had a very high success rate.
Moreover.
Such a thrilling prospect, given Kamuro's personality, would make her inwardly welcome it even if she outwardly despised it.
The spy's initiative and loyalty wouldn't be a concern, especially since Kamuro's abilities weren't lacking.
But.
Yuyuki didn't plan to do that.
He never thought of himself as the best person in this world.
Sakayanagi Arisu of Class A possessed outstanding strategic vision and was cold enough to treat everyone as pawns, willing to discard even allies.
In front of Sakayanagi, Kamuro wasn't strong enough.
A strategy that could be easily exposed wasn't a good one.
"No, you've misunderstood." Tenyo Yuyuki quickly shook his head and said helplessly, "Didn't I say? I was just curious about what you feel when you steal."
"Ha?" Kamuro Masumi was dumbfounded. "Are you out of your mind? What's there to be curious about?"
"Don't have to put it so harshly..."
Tenyo Yuyuki awkwardly scratched his cheek with a finger. "Look, my name is Tenyo Yuyuki, so..."
Before Yuyuki could finish, Kamuro Masumi frowned and quickly figured out what he meant.
"Oh, I get it." Kamuro said with some sarcasm. "The noble son of the Tenmyouin Zaibatsu, a rich zaibatsu young master wanting to experience life. How ironic!"
"I'll say this, Masumi, you definitely don't have any friends." Yuyuki shot back directly.
"None of your business."
Kamuro Masumi glared back instantly, then after a long pause said, "You really aren't going to tell the school?"
"Only elementary school kids report to the teacher."
"Well, if that's the case, I don't mind telling you."
Kamuro beckoned, leaning close to Yuyuki's ear, her tone teasing like a devil's. "When you're stealing, there's a slight sense of guilt, the worry of getting caught, the thrill of success, the satisfaction—when all those mix together, it's pretty damn exciting~"
"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, anything else?"
Tenyo Yuyuki nodded eagerly, a look of interest on his face.
And so the two chatted for a long time on the bench outside the Dormitory Building, mostly with Yuyuki asking questions and Kamuro boasting about her thieving exploits.
Since she'd already been caught stealing, Kamuro had no reservations left.
After exchanging contact info, Kamuro Masumi stretched lazily, showing off her nice figure, then stood up and patted Yuyuki on the shoulder.
"That's enough for today. I'm heading back."
She paused briefly, then added with a smirk, "Yuyuki, right? If you ever get interested in stealing, I can teach you!"
"Really?" Yuyuki's eyes lit up, but he quickly shook his head. "Nah, that wouldn't be good for the class."
"Chicken."
Kamuro Masumi turned and waved, adding, "Whenever you want to find something exciting, come find me!"
Yuyuki thought for a moment, then half-joked, "Anything exciting?"
"You..." Kamuro Masumi whipped around to glare at him, stepping forward to land a light, harmless chop on his waist. "I feel like there's some malice in your words. Don't crack weird jokes like that."
"I'm off."
Waving her hand, Kamuro Masumi turned to leave again, but hadn't gone far.
"Next time, how about teaching me something exciting in my room?"
Hearing Yuyuki's voice behind her, Kamuro Couldn't Help but quicken her pace. After putting some distance, she turned back, pulled down her eyelid with a finger, stuck out her tongue, and made a face. "In your dreams!"
"See you Next Time."
Yuyuki flashed a bright smile, and they waved goodbye once more.
Kamuro was the type with a sharp tongue and no mercy, yet inside she craved an exciting life. Chatting with Yuyuki was a refreshingly novel experience, and she didn't mind it at all.
Nothing was more thrilling than dragging a good person into hell.
Their relationship took a huge leap forward.
Even though they'd only just met, if he confessed right now, Kamuro Masumi might actually say yes.
His ability to gather intel would be somewhat limited.
But even Yanagi couldn't Perceive Kamuro Masumi's odd behavior in a short time, since Kamuro didn't see herself as a spy—she was just sharing A Class's info for the thrill.
