Verdant Green Maiden walked to a corner, took out a medicine chest, and slung it onto her back.
Seeing her dressed like this, the villagers grew excited. Someone hurriedly asked, "Miss, are you a doctor?"
"That's right. I'm a doctor!"
Verdant Green Maiden nodded and beckoned everyone over.
"Gather everyone who's sick. I'll treat them. Don't worry, this isn't some terrible calamity. With medicine, they'll gradually get better. Trust me."
The villagers were overjoyed. Those who were still able to move immediately sprang into action, going from house to house to search for anyone still alive.

A few people exchanged looks, then nodded. "Everyone's here!"
Verdant Green Maiden had only asked offhandedly, but after seeing their reaction, she sensed something was amiss.
She closed the medicine chest and asked, "Are you sure?"
The man at the front blinked. After a brief pause, he nodded. "I'm sure, Doctor! Everyone's here. You'd better hurry and treat them. This plague really is deadly..."
"Knowing it's deadly, you still dare to deceive me?"
"This..."
The few of them looked at one another.
Verdant Green Maiden tapped the table. "What are you hiding from me? Tell me everything, or don't blame me for being unkind."
At her words, they looked nervous.
"Well..."
They really didn't want to tell Verdant Green Maiden about this. But they didn't dare force her to treat the sick, either.
After all, they knew nothing about medicine.
Offending a doctor was as good as asking for death!
Everyone left in the village was counting on Verdant
