Killing a Wizard in Return

Li Mu tossed and turned on the double bed in the Small Town inn, feeling somewhat regretful.

Five hundred units of Spark Energy were almost equivalent to half a day of meditation.

If he had simply fired Frostfire Rose, it would have consumed at most one unit of Spark Energy.

He was still too young. His skin was still too thin.

Lying in bed, Li Mu began HuoZhong Meditation. In the Spark World, HuoZhong Meditation directly absorbed Spark Energy from heaven and earth. But the Captain of a Seedship could use the Shipboard Spark to obtain Spark Energy from Gaia for meditation while in another world.

It felt wonderful because Gaia provided an enormous amount of Spark Energy.

During meditation, his entire body felt warm. Both his mind and body were utterly relaxed.

In less than two hours, the exhaustion from a busy night had been completely swept away.

After eating a rather unsatisfying meal, Li Mu felt that British food was far inferior to the canned food of Frostfire City.

After paying the bill and leaving the inn, Li Mu bought some fruit by the roadside.

These fruits were luxuries in Frostfire City. Frostfire City did not grow fruit itself, and the little fruit available was sold only through the City Lord's Mansion. It had most likely been brought back from another world by a Seedship, so not only was it expensive, but it was also scarce.

During all his years in Frostfire City, he had only eaten fruit once, when the City Lord's Mansion visited the orphanage during his childhood.

Compared to the meal just now, this fruit was far more delicious.

Carrying a bag of fruit, Li Mu left the Small Town along its main road before turning into a small cherry orchard by the roadside.

"Come out!"

Biting into an apple, Li Mu looked at a cherry tree not far away and spoke in English.

The cherry tree was not large. No one could possibly be hiding in or behind it, yet through his Innate Spark, he could clearly sense signs of human life beside the tree. The Innate Spark's perception of life was not something ordinary methods could block.

"You can see me?"

A surprised voice came from beside the tree.

"I noticed you this morning."

Li Mu answered with certainty.

Ever since picking up several thousand pounds in cash that morning, he had noticed someone following him.

He could not see the person with his naked eyes, but the Life Seed could sense human life signs. By concentrating Spark Energy in his eyes, he could also see a humanoid outline radiating life energy. He had immediately realized that a Wizard using the Illusionary Body Curse to become as invisible as a chameleon was following him.

The problem probably lay with the Pound Sterling he had picked up, but what did that have to do with a Wizard?

"Damn it!"

The invisible Wizard cursed under his breath.

He had only intended to use Stupefy to knock out this Muggle. He had not expected the Muggle to move so quickly. Muggles were physically far inferior to Wizards, yet even the strongest Wizard he had ever seen did not possess such formidable physical abilities.

Incendio!

The Wizard swung his wand, and a wave of flames immediately swept toward Li Mu.

"What a pain!"

Li Mu raised his hand and fired helplessly. Frostfire Rose flashed, and a shot rang out in an instant.

Had it been a powerful Wizard, he would have instantly cast a protective spell.

But this invisible Wizard clearly lacked that level of skill. Before he could cast a protective spell or evade, Frostfire Rose struck his wrist. His wrist froze solid and went completely numb, interrupting his control over Incendio.
