In fact, the statistical data from major websites is basically calculated based on total network playback volume. After all, no matter how high the discussion volume is, it is far less convincing regarding a work's popularity than the paid subscriptions that require real money.

The population of Japan Island is only one-tenth that of the Dragon Country mainland, but when it comes to the number of otaku, the ratio isn't quite as exaggerated. After all, many people of the grandfather generation here also regularly purchase manga and watch anime; it is not a strange or bizarre thing for people in their fifties or sixties to chase new episodes alongside their seven or eight-year-old grandchildren.
