Unfortunately, those eyes, which should have been the most captivating feature of her face, were now dim and lifeless. Even so, combined with her refined nose and cherry-like lips, she was still a beautiful girl who drew the eye.

The question was, what had happened to that girl? Why did she look as though she were at anyone's mercy?
