Before leaving the restaurant, Argo pulled down his hat brim again. Once outside, he casually found a small alley leading into the cluster of buildings and headed in. As the light dimmed, he made sure no one was around, then immediately slammed a fist into the wall in frustration, venting the anger in his heart.
"That guy..."
Muttering through gritted teeth, Argo took several deep breaths to calm the rise and fall of his chest.
Because the game now had an additional death rule, no Players had stepped forward to organize a raid on the boss. Back during the Beta Test, Players with an average level of 5 had defeated the First Floor boss. Yet now, even though the Players' average level had reached level 10, they had not even fully explored the labyrinth.
No one was unafraid of death...
That was the fundamental reason the First Floor boss had yet to be defeated.
"Is that guy... afraid of dying?"
Staring at the wall, Argo muttered to himself, gritted his teeth, and walked toward the light at the other end of the small alley.
He thought of those solo Players at the forefront, then thought of Wang Yang, and finally understood where his anger came from.
Even among those selfish Beta Test Players at the forefront, almost no one had considered organizing a boss raid. Yet quite a few Beta Test Players were still quietly helping those Players experiencing Sword Art Online for the first time in their own ways.
Some provided quests and information that had not existed during the Beta Test. Some gave him map data for free, and he would then pass that freely obtained map data on to Players determined to raid at the front lines.
Of course, many Beta Test Players were not so generous.
