Wang Yang stopped of his own accord when he was fifty meters behind Diavel. By then, the two fairly capable squads had already dealt with the last Goblin Spearman. Their efficiency was impeccable, but with so many people, the experience gains were relatively low.

If the goal was leveling, the best option was still to form a six-man party rather than a raid group.

Only after the battle ended did Diavel formally turn around. Looking at the calm-faced Wang Yang, he wore a warm smile and got straight to the point. "Strange sword shield user, this may be presumptuous, but I need to know why you're here."

The warm smile paired with his polite tone made for an excellent first impression. By then, the players who had finished fighting had also noticed the stranger. Unlike Diavel, however, they were not particularly wary. In their eyes, he was alone and posed no threat to their two squads. If they had participated in the beta test, they probably would not have thought so.

Seeing how polite Diavel was, Wang Yang was a little surprised. Smiling at him, he said, "I think you may have misunderstood something, so I felt it was necessary to come over and clear things up. Please believe that I mean no harm."

A strange glint flashed through Diavel's eyes. Wang Yang's willingness to come alone and explain was enough for him to conclude that the other man was not a criminal player. A criminal player would not expose himself. He would only hide in the shadows, secretly notify his teammates, and wait for the right moment like a viper. Especially when facing groups of their size, he would be even less likely to reveal himself.
