Suzune Horikita's Hometown, Meeting the Parents

After leaving Tachibana Marika, Akasaka did not idle around. Instead, he called Horikita Suzune out of school and prepared to meet her parents to discuss their relationship.

Horikita Suzune took the bus out into the city.

She wore a white dress, a white sunhat to shield her from the sunlight, summer sandals, and a white mini shoulder bag. She was dressed rather formally.

After all, she was about to bring Akasaka to meet her parents, so she was a little nervous.

What if her parents did not approve of Akasaka?

In truth, she was worrying too much. Akasaka was now Japan's Prime Minister. No matter what parents they were, as long as they were not blind, they would be desperate to marry their daughter off and latch onto such a powerful connection.

Seeing Suzune's faintly furrowed brow, Akasaka could not understand what she was nervous about. She was meeting her parents, not mine...

Horikita Suzune shot Akasaka a vicious glare, then stepped on his polished dress shoe and kept grinding her foot against it.

She was clearly venting her frustration.

Feeling that long-lost familiar sensation, Akasaka said nostalgically, "It reminds me of not long after I first enrolled. You stepped on my foot like this back then too..."

Suzune snorted and withdrew her foot. "Do you like it that much when I step on you? After we get married, I can step on you every day."

Akasaka glanced at her from the corner of his eye and took her hand. As they walked, he told her, "I'll pass. I'm not a masochist. But if your parents agree to let us be together, then you can step on me for the rest of my life. I won't complain in the slightest."

Horikita Suzune held his hand as well and lightly snorted.
