Alright, the main story has concluded.

Come to think of it, the timing of this book was a bit coincidental. I hadn't originally planned to write a fanfic for Lord of the Mysteries; after all, my previous Shrouding the Heavens fanfic and this one have completely different styles, and Western fantasy is not something I excel at.

I imagine many readers felt this too—taking Shrouding the Heavens and forcing it into the style of Lord of the Mysteries, it's only natural that it would lose control on the spot. It even reached a point where, during certain grand scenes, I would inexplicably blurt out phrases about "battling to the end of the universe" and "the Great Dao being ground to nothingness."

The performance of this book hasn't been as good as the last one, and this is one of the reasons. Of course, it's also because my update schedule was truly lackluster; I barely ever managed six thousand words, usually just slacking off at four thousand.

This... I did my best, but between my internship and my final year of university, I really couldn't find much time.

Additionally, looking back at the final battle today, I realized an issue: it was indeed a bit flat. I focused too much on the choices and stances of God Almighty and Lord of the Mysteries, and didn't consider the high-octane, thrilling battles that you, the readers, prefer.

Perhaps it should have been Truman returning in a Dream, using the Spear of Destiny to give God Almighty and Lord of the Mysteries a savage beating, followed by sealing them in an eternal dreamscape. Regardless, the ending wouldn't have changed...
