After retreating some distance, Kami Piccolo steadied himself and spoke.

His arm trembled slightly, while his fist felt numb and ached.

This showed just how powerfully offensive Kairos's physical strength and condensed ki were.

"Thanks to your guidance, I've gained an initial understanding of a deeper application of ki! Next, I won't hold back when I counterattack!" Kairos said.

Kami Piccolo nodded in acknowledgment.

Kairos hesitated no longer. He stomped both feet heavily against the ground, and the savage force shattered the incomparably hard stone tiles of Kami's Lookout platform.

This charge was even fiercer than the last one!

Seeing this, Kami Piccolo raised his hand and attacked without hesitation.

This time, the solidified ki blast attempted to disrupt Kairos's advance.

But Kairos was not affected. As he dodged left and right, he borrowed the momentum once more and burst forth at an even greater speed.

With his ki locked on, he arrived before Kami Piccolo and threw a punch, driving a terrifying force of wind before it.

A flash of surprise appeared on Kami Piccolo's face, but the next second, his body was not struck by Kairos. Instead, Kairos's fist passed straight through him.

"An afterimage?" Kairos steadied himself and looked around.

Kami Piccolo moved continuously around Kairos, creating ten phantom figures.

The Afterimage Technique!

By moving at extreme speed in an instant, one could leave afterimages behind and make it impossible for the opponent to locate the real body.

Using his ki sense and sharp eyes, Kairos continuously searched for Kami Piccolo's movements.

The next second—

"Found you!"

With a loud shout, Kairos flashed aside and evaded Kami Piccolo's sudden attack.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, he seized Kami Piccolo's fist.

"You saw through it that quickly?"

A trace of surprise flashed through Kami Piccolo's eyes. Knowing that he was no match for Kairos in a contest of strength, he suddenly exerted force with his arm, trying to break free from Kairos's grip.

However, he simply could not do so. His fist felt as though it were locked in a pair of steel pincers.

"This time, you can't dodge!" A sharp gleam flashed in his eyes. In an instant, Kairos's ki erupted, pulling Kami Piccolo toward him. Then he clenched his other hand into a fist and drove a straight punch into Kami Piccolo's chest.

Kami Piccolo possessed considerable combat experience. Even though he had not fought for many years, he still sensed the danger.

Yet even though he grabbed Kairos's punching wrist and dispersed much of the force, he was still struck head-on and sent flying backward in a straight line.

Only after flying more than ten meters did he stabilize himself with ki control. After staggering a few steps, he finally stood firm.

Before Kami Piccolo could react, Kairos gave him no chance to catch his breath. His figure moved as swiftly as a ghost, leaving several afterimages in his wake and making Kami Piccolo's eyes widen in even greater shock.

He had truly learned the technique after seeing it only once.

Locking onto Kairos's ki, Kami Piccolo waited until Kairos arrived before him, then suddenly shouted, "I see you!"

At the same time, he threw a punch.

But in the next instant, his fist seemed to strike empty air and passed right through the body.

Another afterimage!

Not good! The thought had barely formed when Kami Piccolo felt an immense sense of danger.

Kairos had already circled behind him. With both hands aimed at his back, he unleashed a terrifying ki shockwave.

"BOOM!!!!"

A sonic boom erupted, and Kami Piccolo was sent flying straight ahead.

Seeing this, Mr. Popo immediately grew anxious and rushed over, wanting to catch Kami Piccolo.

After all, Kami Piccolo seemed quite elderly to him.

But just as he had run halfway there, Kami Piccolo suddenly flipped over. After stabilizing himself, he landed firmly on the ground.

Kairos had controlled the force of that strike perfectly. It caused no substantial damage, yet it threw the ki within Kami Piccolo's body into brief disorder.

Although he recovered quickly with his cultivation, the battle was over.

Without pressing his advantage, Kairos retracted his ki and grinned. "Thank you for the guidance. I concede the honor to you, Kami."

Kami Piccolo raised a hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead and withdrew his fighting ki as well. Smiling helplessly, he said, "Your talent and comprehension far exceed my imagination. Most importantly, you're only ten years old. I find it difficult to imagine what level you could reach if you fought at full strength, and even harder to imagine how powerful you will become in the future!"

As Kami Piccolo's words fell, the system notification sounded in Kairos's mind once more.

With his approval, Kairos nodded. "Then I'll unleash my full power once. Please move back and prepare some protection. It would be bad if you were injured by my aura."

Hearing Kairos's reminder, Kami Piccolo and Mr. Popo immediately understood. They swiftly ran toward Kami's Lookout, only breathing a sigh of relief after entering the temple itself. They peered out at Kairos through the windows.

Seeing this, Kairos hesitated no longer.

He slowly lowered his body and planted his feet in a firm stance. Then he clenched both fists and bent his arms, as the power he had previously kept hidden and restrained suddenly erupted like a dormant volcano.

As the pressure grew increasingly terrifying, even the space around Kairos seemed to begin twisting.

Arcs of electricity flashed into existence, rubbing against the air. An incomparably oppressive atmosphere enveloped the entirety of Kami's Lookout, and gradually, the once-clear sky abruptly darkened.

Kairos immersed his mind within his body, sensing the flow of every strand of ki inside him.

"Ha!!!"

All at once, Kairos let out a low shout.

It was not deafening, yet it carried a sense of piercing straight into one's heart.

Then, a terrifyingly pale white aura erupted from around him in an instant, shooting into the sky and stirring the heavens and earth.

PS: The Kami's Lookout arc ends here. It may seem a little padded, but it was all to lay a solid foundation for what comes later.

Although this book is an invincible power-fantasy story, even after obtaining rewards in the early stages, the protagonist still needs to cultivate and improve on his own. With all this groundwork laid at the beginning, there will be no need to keep writing about it in such tedious detail later on.
