Fifteen minutes earlier.
In Other World, at the end of Snake Way.
On North Kai's Planet.
With nothing better to do, North Kai was driving his newly purchased convertible sports car around the planet.
Although North Kai's Planet had been damaged by God of Destruction Beerus long ago and reduced to its current size, it did not affect North Kai's enjoyment of life.
Just as he was beginning to enjoy the thrill of the drive, the two antennae on his head automatically picked up some kind of signal and straightened from their curled state.
Causing him to slam on the brakes the very next second.
Gregory and Bubbles were flung from the back seat and landed flat on their faces.
The two beasts were instantly furious. Gregory in particular, who had always been hot-tempered and straightforward, immediately accused North Kai of deliberately messing with them.
But after ranting for a while, he noticed North Kai's grave expression and the fact that he was paying him no attention at all. Gregory then realized North Kai had not done it on purpose.
"What's wrong? The last time I saw you like this was two hundred years ago."
"Whoop whoop~~ Whoop whoop~~!"
Watching North Kai silently open the door and get out, the two beasts asked curiously.
Yet North Kai still gave no response. With his hands clasped behind his back, he silently walked several steps forward before stopping on the grass, completely motionless.
The two antennae on his head, however, continued to tremble.
He was scanning the lower universe, tracing the source of the signal. In the end, he shifted his vision to Earth, tucked away in a remote corner of the North Galaxy.
This planet, which had only drawn a little of his attention when he took in Oliver, had unexpectedly produced another immensely powerful person.
And this one appeared to be nothing more than a child of around ten years old.
"I truly never expected it. On an ordinary Earth with nothing special about it, another such promising talent has emerged. Compared to him, even Oliver seems rather unimpressive," North Kai murmured.
Having sensed the intensity of the aura, he could naturally judge the level of strength.
Such terrifying power was an extremely rare sight even within the North Galaxy under his jurisdiction.
Hearing North Kai mutter to himself, Gregory and Bubbles exchanged glances, then hurried over and placed their hands on North Kai.
Having followed North Kai for many years, they had long become practiced at this.
Whenever North Kai peeked into the lower universe, they would take the opportunity to admire the scenery of its various planets as well.
"Whoa, such a powerful aura—and he's just a child! Earth? No wonder he's so much more impressive than Oliver," Gregory exclaimed in shock.
After all, Oliver was a hero from Earth's myths and legends...
Bubbles could not speak, but North Kai and Gregory understood the meaning behind the sounds he made.
"If this child grows up in the future, he may become one of the universe's foremost superpowers. And judging by the way he looks, he has yet to be properly polished. He has tremendous potential," North Kai assessed.
Although this power was already formidable in the current universe, compared to even stronger beings, it was still nothing remarkable.
"Old man, don't tell me you're thinking of... taking him as your disciple?" After spending so many years together, how could Gregory not know what North Kai was thinking?
If he could not even see through that, he would have lived for nothing.
"Taking him as a disciple is worth considering, but there's no rush. Let's first see just what realm this boy can break through to..."
North Kai put on the air of a seasoned and steady elder.
In his view, since this child was training at Earth's Kami's Lookout, his character could not be bad. He also had some connection to Earth's Kami. If he truly wanted the boy to come meet him later, all he needed was a thought to send a message to the current Kami and have him show the way.
He was a Kai, after all!
To that little Kami on Earth, his existence was that of an absolute big shot.
Lost in his fantasies, North Kai did not even notice the foolish chuckle escaping his mouth.
Gregory wore an awkward expression, while Bubbles rolled his eyes.
And so, as time slowly passed.
Then, under their watchful eyes, Kairos suddenly opened his eyes and erupted once more. North Kai and the two beasts all held their breath.
"That kid actually reached enlightenment so quickly?!" Gregory was the first to cry out in shock.
As soon as he said that, Bubbles made a sound as well.
North Kai had initially been pleased, but at that moment, he suddenly frowned.
"This aura... doesn't seem to belong to an Earthling. It feels familiar, but I can't recall it right now..."
As Kairos's aura continued to swell, North Kai sensed that something was off.
It was also because Kairos's aura contained not a trace of killing intent, nor any murky evil presence, that North Kai had failed to react.
If it had contained even the slightest hint of the savage, murderous aura possessed by most Saiyans, he would have been able to identify the race.
"Not an Earthling? Then why is he on Earth? Wait, Earth's Kami doesn't seem to be an Earthling either," Gregory exclaimed again.
He had seen Kami Piccolo inside the lookout. There was no need to sense his aura—his appearance clearly showed that he was not an Earthling.
"Yes, a Namekian... Hundreds of years ago, natural disasters on Planet Namek made it impossible for the race to survive and reproduce. Most Namekians considered interstellar migration. He was sent to Earth by his ancestors in a Spaceship back then. Though he became Kami step by step through his own efforts and his strength is somewhat lacking, his character is fairly decent..."
North Kai explained.
"I see. So this child also arrived on Earth aboard a Spaceship?" Gregory shifted the topic back to Kairos.
North Kai did not respond. He watched quietly, trying to use Kairos's aura to identify his race.
Then Kairos suddenly underwent a Transformation. His power swelled at a terrifying rate, and golden light shot into the sky. Even they, observing from afar with their abilities, were nearly blinded...
When they could see clearly again, Kairos had golden hair and blue eyes.
And they heard Kami Piccolo and Mr. Popo's heartfelt exclamations.
Saiyan!!!
"Th-This, could it be... Th-this-this..." North Kai was stunned.
It was not merely the Transformation that shocked him, but Kairos's identity as a Saiyan!
Once he learned that Kairos was a Saiyan, every piece of information about Saiyans surged through his mind.
Given the current scene, along with this terrifying power that could crush even the Galactic Emperor, this was the legendary Super Saiyan of the Saiyan race!!
A child of around ten years old was actually a legendary Super Saiyan—and he was on Earth!
