"I miscalculated. This timing really is a little awkward."

High above West City, Kairos looked at the Capsule House, its lights long extinguished and not a glimmer visible inside, and muttered to himself.

It wouldn't be appropriate to just go over and knock on the door, especially since he was a stranger.

Even though the power he possessed was enough to let him run rampant across Earth, Kairos had no intention of being so reckless.

If he'd known, he should have gone somewhere else to pass the time and come back after dawn broke here.

His thoughts shifted abruptly, and he immediately leapt down into West City.

Since it was nighttime, even though the streets and alleys of West City were brilliantly lit, no one noticed a child like Kairos jumping down from the sky.

After landing, Kairos wandered aimlessly through West City, changing his clothes into casual wear with a thought.

In the ten years since his transmigration, he had never again experienced the feeling of walking down city streets like he had in his previous life.

Indeed, the cities on this Earth were vastly different from those in his previous life—unfamiliar—but Kairos still felt genuinely happy.

To put it in one sentence, he had finally escaped that damn savage Saiyan lifestyle.

That was right!

Life on Planet Vegeta was the life of primitives.

There were no entertainment activities whatsoever. They lived in the most basic, crude houses, and ate only the most common food—either grilled meat or all kinds of canned goods.

Because of their small population, although the Saiyans occupied the entirety of Planet Vegeta, there was currently only one truly developed city: the Capital City.

And most of the people living in the Capital City were Elite Warriors. Even among the Low-class Warriors, those approved to live there were few and far between.

Compared to the number of Saiyans, there were more extraterrestrial races.

Saiyans cared only about fighting, so the construction of cities and the development of technology in every field were handled by other alien races.

After walking through several streets and alleys and taking in the city of West City, Kairos's small burst of excitement quickly faded.

After all, it was the middle of the night. Even though quite a few shops were still open, most had already closed for business.

Kairos did spot some twenty-four-hour convenience stores, diners, coffee shops, and the like.

Of course, the most common places at this hour were nightlife venues, such as bars and KTVs.

Then there were the hotels.

If Kairos hadn't been completely untired, he would have wanted to find a more upscale hotel and stay there for a day, just to enjoy himself a little.

In his previous life, he had only been an ordinary person. He had barely experienced the life of the wealthy, and after transmigrating, there was even less need to mention it.

If he stayed in West City, he would still have to wait at least another six hours for dawn. Kairos had no plans to linger here any longer.

To him, Earth was not large at all. He could go anywhere without needing much time, so he could get quite a few things done during this time.

After passing through an alley, Kairos made his decision and was about to use the Flight Technique to head for a city where it was still daytime.

He happened to need to exchange for some Earth currency.

The System Space held quite a bit of gold, silver, jewelry, and rare ores. Although gold and silver were hard currency, using Earth money would still be more convenient for spending on Earth.

It was at that moment that several voices suddenly interrupted Kairos's thoughts.

"Little brother, it's very dangerous for you to be wandering around alone in the middle of the night."

"Did you get lost?"

"Come with your big sister. I'll take you to find your mom and dad, okay?"

Three people who looked to be in their twenties approached.

Two men and one woman, pretending to be good people, though they looked nothing like it.

One of the men was broad-shouldered and thick-backed, with slicked-back flaming red hair. His arms were thick, and a dragon tattoo ran over one shoulder.

The other man had dyed yellow hair that hung past his shoulders. He wasn't short, but he was exceptionally skinny, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth.

The woman looked somewhat more normal, but Kairos was no ordinary child. How could he not know what the three of them were after?

That sleazy tone, coupled with their human-trafficker spiel, was simply ridiculous.

He hadn't even been in West City for long, yet he had already run into human traffickers...

The corners of Kairos's lips curled slightly, and a teasing glint appeared in his eyes.

He did not move, merely watching as the two men took up positions on either side of him, seemingly to prevent him from running away, while the woman raised her hand and tried to take his.

"Big sister, big brothers, can you take me home?" Kairos asked, pretending to be innocent.

At ten years old, he was not actually that short.

He looked thin and small only because the oversized casual clothes he had changed into concealed a physique no one his age should have possessed.

"Of course. Big sister wouldn't lie to you. If you keep wandering around alone, you really will get lost. It's so late, and there are bad people everywhere outside," the woman said with a smile, grabbing Kairos's hand and pulling him toward a nearby alley.

Seeing this, the two men revealed triumphant smiles, exchanged raised eyebrows, and followed after them.

"Then aren't Big Sister and Big Brother bad people?" Kairos asked directly after they had only taken a few steps.

His words visibly stunned the three of them.

To avoid trouble, the woman immediately said, "Of course not. Look at how pretty Big Sister is—do I look like a bad person?"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're all good people. We just couldn't bear to see you wandering outside."

"That's right, that's right. We'll take you home in a little while."

The two men chimed in as well.

"If that's the case, why didn't you ask where my home is?" Kairos suddenly stopped. No matter how hard the woman pulled, she could no longer move him.

The unexpected turn caught the woman off guard.

She was an adult, yet she was weaker than a child.

"Be good and come with Big Sister. Big Sister has lots of tasty food at home. When it gets light, Big Sister will help you find your family." The woman's tone shifted, growing somewhat impatient.

The two men exchanged glances.

They signaled to the woman, but when they saw that she could not pull the child at all, they immediately sensed that something was wrong.

"Little brother, you're pretty strong. Come on, come on, Big Brothers will take you to get something good to eat first." The broad-shouldered man had just reached out to place a hand on Kairos's shoulder.

But the next second, a sharp pain suddenly shot through him. After crying out, he began letting out continuous agonized wails.

Kairos had grabbed that hand. With only a slight exertion of force, he twisted it out of shape.

"Let go! Let go now!!"

The burly man shouted and struggled desperately, but he could not break free from Kairos's grip.

Just as he raised his other hand to punch Kairos, he suddenly felt his body fall out of his control and dropped to his knees. His entire arm was twisted like a braid, the pain leaving him drenched in sweat, his eyes rolling white and foam spilling from his mouth.

The sight terrified the woman and the other man.

The woman was so frightened that she was about to release Kairos's hand, but the next second, intense pain swept through her as well. She let out a muffled groan before passing out from the pain.

Her entire arm was likewise twisted like a braid, completely ruined.

The sight made the little blond-haired man scream in terror. He had just turned to run when his feet tangled, and he stumbled to the ground.

His desire to survive drove him to crawl forward desperately, his heart filled with fear.

But how could Kairos let him go?

These traffickers who profited from abducting children deserved to experience despair and pain before being sent on their way.
