In the blink of an eye, more than a year had passed!
Over the past year or so, the residents of Green Mountain Town had gradually become familiar with Madam Ye of the Ye Family Bookstore.
She was a gentle-natured woman, a virtuous wife and loving mother!
Whenever they happened to meet, they would greet one another, or chat about household trifles when gathered together.
One day, a tall young woman dressed in coarse hemp cloth walked home along the street with a basket on her arm.
Though she was dressed like a farm wife, her skin was as smooth as congealed cream, utterly out of place beside the rough-skinned women of the town.
It was as though she were a young lady of a great household, while the others were merely servant girls fit for menial work!
Whether in bearing or appearance, the difference was immense.
