Under that gentle radiance, a closer look revealed that this enormous cavern had been man-made, not a marvel wrought by heaven and earth.
For the rock walls and ceiling bore faint scorch marks, sword and blade scars... and a whole series of other traces left by human hands.
Yet to create such a grand cavern was clearly not something mortals could accomplish in a mere few decades.

The swords and blades of mortals did not possess such razor-sharp edges.

It came from the smallest of the five passages of varying sizes.
Yet even the smallest passage was broad enough for three carriages to pass abreast.
The two largest passages were even wider.
Calling them passages would be less fitting than calling them great roads. They were wide enough for over a dozen carriages to travel side by side, showing just how immense the undertaking of this cavern had been.
Especially since these caverns and passages had been excavated dozens of zhang underground.
